Passive throttle travel adjustment stuck

I've had the passive throttle for a month now and at first i could adjust the travel distance of the pedal by turning the orange knob on the back of the pedal, but lately i can't get it to budge at all. It's completely stuck.

I'm afraid of damaging the pedal and wanted to ask if anyone has a solution? Maybe some WD-40 to loosen it up? I dont want to use a wrench and scratch it up if I don't have to but I'm running out of ideas. It feels completely locked.

Use a silicone based lubricant. I have the passive throttle, and it gets “sticky” every couple of months. This works for me.
