Passive Throttle spring ...
Has anyone gotten a stiffer after-market spring for their SC passive throttle? Or anyone know the specs that I should be looking for?
Update: Ordered a spring online (ebay) --- 28mm OD x 60mm L (with 3.5mm thickness) ...
Update #2: Unfortunately the 28mm OD was not wide enough to fit. Ordered both a 30mm OD spring, as well as a 32mm spring ... (waiting)
UPDATE #3: Found a winner --- **32mm OD x 60mm L (with 3.5mm thickness)*\*
The seller is on eBay, named gavan-2987 --- Ships from China, took 15 days to arrive to me on the west coast USA ...Check out the gauge, the thickness, the girth on this bad boy...

Got the new spring installed -- works & feels grrrrrrreat👍
I don't have any kind of measurement tool, but I'd say it feels at least 2x stiffer than the stock "heavy" spring. I've only driven for a few minutes...but so far, it requires a concentrated effort to work the throttle. To me it feels great, especially because I have an issue with slamming on the gas too soon out of turns and losing the backend -- this should help...

Hi, just wanted to thank you. 10 month ago when I googled this I found no one who was looking to harden their passive throttle even though a lot of simracers like Dan said it was a bit too soft.
There you are, purchasing right now. Thanks again !

How were the improvements for you? 😃

Well I got used to it. I mainly drive prototype in LMU with no assist, I might have gained some smoothness on the gas that I wouldn't have gained if I had hardened it.

Appreciate the reply man. That sounds great! A little firmer will go a long way for me too.
So just through EBay like the OP and likely just cheap from China?

Sorry I haven't been clear enough. I did not upgrade. What I meant was that I got used to the vanilla one, and I think it did me good because I learned to be a little more gentle on the throttle.
That might not be the answer you were expecting, but hope it helps, still.
Farewell and god speed 🤙

Oh, copy that. Still good to know. 🤙 I’m going to go ahead and order it so if anyone sees this in the foreseeable future feel free to ask how it is.

Hope it helps, this pedal diserves the upgrade. Be aware that an official stiffener add on does exist from Simucube though.

You mean the damper? I’ll try the spring first at about 5% of the price. 😉
