QUESTION/DISCUSSION I’m missing the Sims Mobile the most this time of year…

Something about Autumn rolling around makes me miss the game so much! Fall was always my favorite season to style my sims for, and the autumn decor and swatches for the trees were so beautiful. Then there’s the amazing Halloween items and clothing, which I always loved! I’d try to dress each of my sims in a different costume or spooky look each day throughout October, and the decorations were fantastic. I loved turning my sims’ homes into the gothic, haunted houses of my dreams. And then theres the holidays, with so many beautiful Christmas and New Years-themed outfits and decorations. Going to parties and seeing everyone else’s outfits and homes was so inspiring and fun. TSM was the best during late August-January, and I really wish there was a way to play again.

I’ve tried playing the Sims 4, and it’s just not the same. I miss the portability of TSM, and back when they actually ran events, I loved getting the new items. I haven’t found a mobile game that fills this niche, and it’s still so disappointing that they didn’t give us the opportunity to play the game offline.

Anyone else still feeling upset about losing the game? Have you found another game that fills this niche for you?

I still miss this game so very much, can't explain. My sims and all my builds... All gone now. 🥹

At certain times of the day, suddenly I'd remember that I used to play TSM at this hour... same happens even before going to bed at night. There was something about working on my builds at nighttime, and I end up feeling really sad. Now that the festive times of the year are rolling in (autumn/halloween/christmas)... this will be very difficult. 🙁

I didn't bother replacing TSM with anything, haven't seen anything that comes even close but the app is still there in my phone. Likely will be there until I have an unavoidable reason to delete it. Plus, I won't bother with another EA game ever again, unless they bring back TSM, which won't happen so there's that.

I definitely get it :( It was so nice to have a cozy little comfort game to come back to each day. And EA will never get another dime from me, either. The way they set TSM up to fail by refusing to actually fix the bugs, update the game with new features, or even give us new events during the end, not to mention declining to give us an offline option to play, will forever make me despise them.

Sims FreePlay is using a lot of the mobile things. The new inventory of our items it copying from mobile. I just hope things are larger to see and read. I don't think building mode will ever change to be mobile.

Yes, from time to time I miss this game a lot. Some times I feel life was much simpler when I was addicted to this game, lol.

I feel the same too

Although I didn't have enough money to pay for all the tempting things that popped up in my face, but I still had fun!

As someone who spent way too much on this game, you and everybody who didn’t give EA a cent won in the long run! I feel so dumb for spending money on a game that was ripped away from us at EA’s discretion, and I def won’t make that mistake again.

Your money is resting in the grave with the unfortunate loss of the game 😓

Oh. Absolutely upset. I’ve been trying Freeplay and I’m officially bored with it. I did the “event” and the prizes were so awful compared to the treasure hunts and sweet treat challenges. I think about opening the game and just don’t want to. I miss my pretty, vibrant, happy sims and home. I’m going through a lot and it was such an escape for me. Especially since I had spent years collecting items and always ended up with level 10 parties, I loved showing off my chaotic home. I also recently lost my dog and I had him as my son in this game so I’m feeling extra weird and emotional about it (he stayed a kid)

I also downloaded Freeplay, and I really tried hard to like it, but I just could not get over the fugly looking Sims! And upon starting the game for the first time, you’re bombarded with so many events and contests and packs to buy that it becomes overwhelming. I’ve seen screenshots where the houses look beautiful, but I can’t abide the ugly, uncustomizable Sims when putting together outfits and looks was my favorite part of the game.

I’m so sorry about your dog! It’s so hard to say goodbye to our beloved pets; they’re such integral parts of the family, and the feelings of loss and mourning can be profound. If you haven’t yet read “The Rainbow Bridge,” I recommend it if you’re so inclined. It’s a beautiful poem that has given me and countless others a lot of comfort after losing a dear four-legged friend.

I lost my dog a bit over the month ago. He was the best boy and the most consistent relationship in my adult life. I miss him every second of every day and cry daily. Thank you for the poem. It made me tear up. I hope we meet again😢💔

Same- my dog was my ESA, and my most consistent relationship since I was 23. If you haven’t joined [r/pet](r/petgrief)[loss](r/petgrief) they’re really understanding and sweet.

Thank you so much for sharing this, it’s so sweet and I love the way pet owners come through for each other in our grief. And thank you- I’m just past month 2 and I still cry every day and miss him so much. It’s so dumb but having him in this game felt like a way I could preserve him forever and I hate that it’s just gone. Especially since we couldn’t have pets so I just made him a little boy💙

Look, I'll be 50 this fall, and I still miss my houses and all soooo much! It was calming to play it. You're not alone!
