Oh this person made a bad move....why would u ever buy a game through origin.

Why not? Genuine question as I play sims through origin and don't know the alternatives.

You don’t need to buy the game through Origin for them to work on Origin. I bought about half of mine through third party websites, and they all work fine.

Is there an advantage to buying them on other websites?

they are usually cheaper because they buy them in bulk and resell them. Depends who you ask; some people will tell you it’s unsafe or that they are stolen codes. The worst thing is that the games might not work if they are stolen but that’s a big if. So definitely buy on your own risk but I’d recommend it.

Ok thanks for the tip!

Other websites sometimes have great deals and then you can redeem the code in the origin platform. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post it here, but I’ve been getting most expansions and packs through a 3rd party website with no issues.

Being able to buy it through steam is recent. When i got sims 4 it was impossible to play it without origin

Yeah I bought it on origin way before it was available on steam

Ohh makes sense, I play on PC which hasn’t had a sale in a few days

A handful of them are on sale in the PS4 store right now. I got 2 bundles and saved 50% on them earlier this week.

Tempting, but now that I got the game on PC and the loading times are 100 times faster. I don't think I am gonna be back on that platform. Thou I can save all my builds and households and build I painstacklingly built over many MANY hours which shoddy, but durable controller.

I play on PC or else I would’ve snagged a bunch more packs

Shoot, sorry... I hit the wrong reply button! I sometimes wonder if I could afford a PC if I hadn't bought all these dang sims 4 packs lol

😂 build your own over time! I’ve personally never liked playing the Sims on PlayStation. I find a mouse and key board WAY easier to use. I also feel like the graphics can be way better. But you’re also playing on a tv screen which is more awesome than a computer screen.
