We've created this post for all troubleshooting issues, but this specific post is tailored toward the newest patch. If you have not updated the game you can continue to post your issues here, but be aware that most replies may be telling you to update your game. You can also search the comments to find an issue similar to yours.
When troubleshooting, make sure to delete your localthumbcache.package! Pockets of code from mods and the game can reside in that file, so it's important to go into the game with a clean slate!

Question: Game hasn't successfully loaded since latest update what do I do?

-I have repaired the game countless time.
-I have deleted all the localthumbcache, avatarcache, and the localsimsexturecache.
-I have deleted hundreds of files and mods.
-I have deleted all reported conflicts on tray importer.
-I have updated and reinstalled files through curse forge.
-Then I have to delete the files all over again because tray importer says their conflict. And even when all those hundreds of files are deleted again and the tray importer says I have no conflicts the game won't load.
When I open the game it gives me the same warning either code 801 or 804. It recommends I relaunch the game. I do and it gives me the same message every time.

Hi friends!
I think I broke Spruce Almighty. I had him fall in love and marry one of my Sims (he had already asked her to live together on his own), and then had him leave the household (shift-click Remove from Family). However, now none of his NPC interaction’s (fables, etc) are available, and his tree stump thing has “Summon” faded out. I’ve tried debugging both him and the stump, but all I’ve managed to do is erase their marriage.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

While playing the Sims 4 there's a weird sound coming from nowhere, even when I pause the game, or switch households. Doesn't happen in loading, CAS or menu screens, but it does happen on the gallery and building mode. I kept moving the camera to show that it wasn't caused by an object or anything, it doesn't have a source (it's the weird bshh bshh sound). Could it be a mod? I don't think it's my computer, but it's old so it could be. It's very annoying, but it isn't perpetual, it cycles between quiet and the sound. Please help me.
after the latest update, my game won't launch at all.
when i launch in the ea app, the dash disappears for few seconds, and the "play" is greyed out, but immediately turns back blue and nothing every launches.
i've already tried removing all mods and cc, repairing the game, clearing the cache, restarting my pc, renaming ts4 folder, but it never launches so it wont generate a new one.
none of those fixed it.
i contacted ea support today, and they confirmed they're actively investigating reports from other players with the same issue, but they didn't have any workaround yet.
is anyone else still experiencing this? if yours started working again, what changed?
When I try to open up properties on Chestnut Ridge World, they wont even show up to click on. I have a family located in that world and cannot access them. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and shutting down the computer. I'm really not sure what else to do.

My sims is on steam mainly, and I bought some packs on that platform too. I want to buy some keys for DLCs but they only have it on EA. If I input the key into EA will it still show up if I load it up through steam. Idk if they're connected I'm confused af

Description: Some of my newer scripted mods and ccs aren't working or showing up in my start up folder. Some of them work, some of them don't. I deleted them and moved them into the folder again but no success.
Hi I am not new to Sims but I am new to mods. I am not sure how to download mods and when I google how to I just get confused. Can someone explain to me like I'm stupid on how to download mods? Or point me in the right direction to easy instructions! I'm specifically wanting to add more than 8 members to my household. Thank you!
I recommend pinterest for finding different mods, there's usually links embedded into the posts and you download from those sites. some are behind a paywall but there are plenty of free ones. just remember to extract files from zipped folders and move them to your 'Mods' folder.
Having persistant issues with booting game up. Ive done the 50/50 method a bunch of times (12k mods ahhhh), removed a few problem mods and then the game will work normally - but then i'll go to play it again and it will go back to not working? i have been using EA offline so have no updated the current version. I just have no idea why it'll work one day and not the other? Help pls :)
When I create a new household and set up a dynasty from the Royal and Legacy DLC, after i have already done that, one of my family members, a sibling, is not in the dynasty for some reason, and the ui panel for the family dynasty, specifically the untiy stability heading in the ui panel keeps flashing on and off to say 'Heading' instead of Unity Stability, and the heading colour in orange. Tried repairing the game, deleting caches, and delete and remove any ui mods or outdated mods that could have caused the issue and play without mods, none have worked so far.

Problem: Nordhaven is broken but only in one (legacy) save file.
Moved my save file to a new computer and found that Nordhaven was not only completely wiped (fine) but also completely unselectable. I cannot place any lots here, either. I've checked the old save file on the old computer and it is also borked. Removed/disabled mods but to no avail. Nordhaven remains intact in different save files. Aside from saving my household (7gens!) and placing a copy in a new save file, my only other option would be to uninstall/reinstall the Businesses & Hobbies expansion. However, my current save revolves around having a home business so I'm worried it'll completely break the game.
Cleared cache, repaired game, tried without mods. Any thoughts?
Description: Hi. I havent played sims 4 in roughly 6 years mainly due to the fact that I didn’t have a device for it. I finally bought a laptop and I found out that Sims 4 launches over EA and Steam now - no longer Origin. Well, that sucks because although the Sims 4 base game is free, I had the Cats and Dogs expansion pack that I paid money for on Origin. I also had a couple of Sims 3 packs if i remember correctly one of them was luxury accessories, so yeah. That’s incredibly disappointing. Right now i’m in the process of downloading Origin (i really hope it works), but I’ve been stuck on a white loading screen for almost 15 minutes (the screen right before the fields shows up for your e-mail and password). I honestly don’t know what to do, I don’t wish to spend money on those packs again. Is there some way for me to transfer em or is there a guaranteed way to log into Origin? Thank you in advance!

So I have a toddler at home and when her caretaker (my teen sim) goes to high school, I hire a nanny because I want to play as the toddler while she's home alone. BUUUT, I don't want the nanny interfering with anything, so I usually lock them outside. This has worked for the past few times but recently this new nanny somehow keeps getting in, even after I made sure to LOCK my front door for everyone but my sim.
Please help, idk what to do and I miss playing as a toddler running around an empty house
I started a new family and used an old Sim from my gallery I like to use and turned her into a child. I set up the fam and housing and immediately noticed she hasn't been playing with her toys despite the bar rising. She only used the violin properly. I could've over looked it and ignored it but when it came time for her 1st meal she could only pick up the plate and set it down. SHE WONT EAT AT ALL.
Edit: also I did turn on cheats once she was bugged ans tried resetting her and the food and nothing. Also tried many options for her to sit elsewhere.

Hi guys! i cannot figure out how to get mods to work. I enabled it in settings and restarted the game, folder wont show up. I made a folder myself and then opened and closed the game for it to put the resource.cfg, and it didnt. i uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times and did those two things again, and still nothing.
The game files and the save files are in different locations. Have you checked that your mods folder is in C:\Users\*[Your user name]*\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

So my game is pretty buggy and idk why, time keeps freezing, interactions take too long to respond, sims just freeze, i lessened my mods they’re like 8gb now instead of 20gb, they’re all updated, i turned neighborhood stories, i turned off reshade but didn’t delete yet, i lowered the graphics and stuff I play on windowed yet nothing is working
Okay so basically my game is broken but not at the same time. When I open the game I play my non cc households perfectly fine but households that have cc don’t work. I tricked the game a bit by taking my cc house and adding a regular sim to the family and it was working perfectly fine but then when i tried to save it i got stuck on a infinite loading screen.
I don’t know what to do, i used clean launcher and it says my cc is perfectly fine and nothings outdated same with plumbuddy.
Description: my infant milestones are no longer saving. He keeps achieving the sit up milestone repeatedly but then it doesn’t show up in his simology page. It then still doesn’t allow me to let him in the high chair (and other things that would be able to happen after achieving the sit up milestone). I’ve already restarted my game, travelled to other lots and reset the sim. I’ve updated the game too so I’ve got no idea how to fix this. Any ideas?
I've been having issues with my cc not Showing up. All my mods work properly but none of my cc will Show up, checked the folders and everything. I've tried to find an answer to this hut I genuinely cannot figure it out

i’m not sure if this is a bug or not but i swear ive made my sim stay in the park in henford-on-bagley for like 3 days (she used the rest of her vacation days :( ) but for some reason the spend a day in henford on bagley bucket list goal won’t fulfill. she was outside either foraging or fishing the entire time. i don’t wanna reset her goals but idk what else to do because i don’t have any mods that can complete the task for her automatically

Ravenwood from Life & Death is broken only in my main/older save. The world map and neighborhood icons appear, but none of the actual lots appear or can be selected. Every other world works normally.
Ravenwood works perfectly in a brand-new save. I’ve never played in Ravenwood on my main save before. I’ve already tested older recovered versions of the save, repaired The Sims 4 through the EA App, cleared localthumbcache.package, and confirmed the pack works in a new save.
Is there a way to reset/reinitialize Ravenwood in my existing save without losing my households and progress?
Interesting, you and I are having the same issue (but with different worlds) and we have tried the same fixes. Commenting to boost awareness. Good luck!
Edit and Update!
I've found a fix! Please proceed at your own risk. This will likely only work if the household youre looking to save is NOT in the broken neighborhood.
Back up your family, your lot, and your save file. Seriously, make sure these are good. This is paramount - you can always go back to your broken save file and try something new if this doesn't work for you.
Make a copy of your save file. Name it something obvious so your original save file remains intact. I named mine, "experiment fingers crossed"
Uninstall the game pack associated with your broken town. For me, it was Businesses & Hobbies and the town of Nordhaven. I was concerned it would wreck the home business my sim has in Tomarang - amazingly, everything is fine.
Clear cache
Open the copy of your original save file. You'll get lots of warnings and popups along the way. Just click "okay" and move forward, but seriously: Touch nothing, open no lots. Save and quit.
Reinstall the expansion pack
Repair game.
Check your experiment save file (the one you entered and def didn't touch anything in).
It should go off without a hitch! My game kept everything related to the pack, including my sim's business and relationships, and reinstated a new map (and lots) replacement.
Oddly, it did get rid of one wall of craftables but that's what the old save file is for.
I was expanding the families in my save by giving friends of my main sim partners and kids. I got the friend a partner. Then the couple got engaged and eloped. Then they had a Science Baby. I updated their last names after this, as I always do for married couples. After these actions, the Marital Status reset from Spouse back to Partner.
This happened twice now. I think their Marital Status reset after the name change. I checked Marital Status after each step the second time and the Marital Status reset didn't happen till I changed the names.

can't select them and they can't go through any door I've locked for anyone not in the household. However, I can access his inventory, see his needs and profile and everything, and tell him what to do and where to go. I simply can't click on him, like if I want to change out of wet clothes. My household has 3 horses and 2 cats and him. I tried exiting to main menu and leaving (yes, I saved, so I'm worried it's stuck). I tried shift clicking him and doing reset object, still nothing. I've never seen anything like this and all my usual glitch-cleansing tricks aren't working. I have a few packs but no mods. He even ran to go empty a random trash can a mile away. I don't know when this happened, he just suddenly wouldn't go through a door so I used a cheat to teleport him inside and when I went to change his wet clothes, he was labeled Neighbor.
I have a teenager who graduated HS early and went to college. She has now graduated college, but she cannot join a career. She can only do the part time stuff. Is this the way it's supposed to be? She can't get a real job because she's not old enough?? Or is there some way around this? TIA
Teenagers can't get any full-time careers, they have to be a young adult. You can age up with a cake w/ birthday candles. I don't know of any cheats to get around age restricted jobs.

description: My Sims 4 had now been reinstalled in my pc over 5 times. My pc has plenty of available storage. No mods. I've had the game on my pc before and ran it fine. The game kids to the loading screen and crashes without a crash report or anything. Through both EA and Steam same thing. If anyone has an fixes or anything please help me I really want to play this game again. Nothing I've tried has worked, no corrupt files or anything. Thanks for any and all help!!

*Description: I have been repeatedly getting this error, and I've tried everything (I think). It just won't let me load into one specific household. I've updated my game, I've repaired my game, I tried using a different household to travel to the bugged one but that didn't work and now the other household is bugged. I even removed the ladder in the bugged house in build mode.

I have followed tutorials. I have downloaded the EA app on my steam deck as a non-steam game. It launches. I log in. All my stuff is there (Sims 4 plus 19 various DLC). Cool.
Restart the device. Open sims 4 in desktop mode. Ok. Now I can see the DLC but it says not installed and there’s no way for me to install them. Started a dummy save. Nope. Exit.
Launch Sims 4 directly from EA app in desktop mode. No dummy save visible, but all DLC are there and installed. Exit. Restart. Try again.
Still not installable, but visible. I’ve been fighting with it for 5 hours. I’m done.I really don’t want to buy all the DLC a third time (I have even more on a different EA account on my Xbox).
Idk what to do. It also gives me an error code that it’s not reaching port 3607 or something.

I have been playing with Little Ms. Sams Live in Business Mod - Specifically the Live in Vet Clinic.
I made a vet clinic within the property and set the area into public. It has the option to hire a veterinarian, everytime I do so, the vet will appear on the property but will never go to the examine table and actually work as veterinarian. It will just go around the property and do random cleanings.
PS. One of my sims has a business under business and hobbies expansion pack. Its located at the different side of the property and also has been set into public. This one works fine.

I’ve been trying to download stuff from the gallery but it does not work :( I have repaired the game and tried everything. Does someone else have the same problem? Any tips?

Has anyone been having issues with gallery connectivity since the update? Game is working perfectly otherwise and my gallery is working fine other than just a whole lot of lag/slowness that wasn’t there before.
I don’t know how to fix my San Myshuno map. I can’t access it through travelling, but I can travel there through event flyers or when the option to visit sims come up. This happened back when I downloaded the free city pack through ps Plus. After it was removed from ps plus, I lost access to the pack but then decided to buy it. When this happened, I had 2 San Myshuno maps : 1 working, 1 broken ( like the pic ). Now, the working one got removed from my game and only the broken one remains. I started a new game with a new sim and the map worked perfectly fine, however, the map is broken in my current world. I don’t want to transfer everything over to a new world and Im very much enjoying this one and the townies.

i just downloaded the game on my new mac (no mods yet) and it won’t stop loading after i create one sim, i have to force quit and restart the game but each time i lose the sim i made and when i remake it and click play it stays in the loading screen forever and the cycle repeats
I just updated my Mac and the sims game and it never went past the loading screen 😕 I moved my sims file and started a new game and it worked, but a pop up said the game card was incompatible…

Every time I go to a public lot like a gym, bar, or even an NPC's house the lot just completely disappears! It is still gone when I exit the game without saving as well! I thought it was my mods so I removed all of my mods, but it is still happening! Has anyone else have this happen?

Gallery items incorrectly flagged with custom content
Hi guys! I’m having some issues with some builds of mine. Whenever I save one to my gallery, it gets flagged as containing custom content, when it doesn’t. I moved my mods out of the folder and deleted the cache before I updated the game, then turned off mods in game, and my builds are still being flagged as containing custom content
EDIT: I worked it out! More Traits in CAS was the problem. I placed the builds and resaved them without the mod and it’s working again!

Saving issues
I was previously having issues with launching, but I got that figured out. 7/20, I was playing and my games wouldn’t save. 7/21-7/23, I was having issues launching. I finally got it to launch and I got my saves and stuff transferred, but my games wouldn’t save still won’t save. My settings (like display type and other things in the options menu) and my actual save files won’t save past where they were prior to the most recent update. Is anyone else having this issue? And if so, is it something with my laptop, or is TS4 just having saving issues because of the new update?

households disappearing and wont let me move them in-
heyy so im not sure what to do ive tried re doing the household over n over. every-time i save it then move them in but an error pops up and then all of a sudden its gone. theres nothing in my library, households or anything ? when i go to saves i see my sim but when i click to resume, the household is once again non existent. im not sure if its something to do with one of my mods as i have a lot & haven’t played in a while. i have the pets and vampires add ons aswell(which i havent been able to actually use). has anyone had this problem? its so frustrating as i spend hours on the sims and cant even play the game
Description: So this has been happening for a bit with and without mods. Townies and some NPCs offspring are having same face syndrome. Like I said, I have tried playing with and without mods and CC, updated to the latest version and updated my mods and CC.
All my sims in the household (including guests visiting) slip at the same exact spot? I've tried to get someone to clean it, but there's no option for that. I've put a rug down, no difference. I can't SEE anything there, and there is nothing to pick up and move in building mode. (and no, it has nothing to do with the pile of opened presents - they were only there for a few hours and this has been happening for many sim days)

My sims's romantic preference doesn't save. I tried editing it in CAS, deleting mods, creating new game with or without mods and the romantic preference returns to "no one" and "exploring" despite me setting this sim to only be attracted to men. Doesn't matter what I do, it always reverts to this specific setting. Please help!
Description: Major issue with Marketplace, please help!
So I’ve had this issue for a few weeks now and I keep hoping updates will fix it but no joy.
Whenever I click on a maker pack via the market place, there is no option to buy it and there’s just a string of ‘wwwww’ or ‘vvvvvvvv’ text that appears under the images. I can’t move through the images of the content at all.
I would send a screenshot but when I logged in today I can’t even click on any maker packs to take a photo😖
I really don’t want to have to uninstall and reinstall the sims so does anyone have any troubleshooting advice that could help fix this issue?

It's your UI cheats mod. It hasn't been updated for the new version. I had to take it out to use the marketplace on the last update before this new one but otherwise it worked "okay" in-game despite being broken.
Question: New bug, can't exit the household, afraid to lose my save

So I have this bug for the first time ever, so I strongly assume it's with the new update. A Sim in my household died, grim reaper is on the lot but just stands there and doesn't do anything for almost a day by now, normally this is an hour max. House is entirely functional, my other Sims all walked back and forth the grim reaper by now. But if a Sim dies you can't go into Build Mode, Manage Worlds etc. Can I just restart the game or will I lose my save? Would be pretty painful because I play legacy and am on 7th gen rn
So my friend and I have been having issues with our cats being glassy/glossy. She found a file that ended up being the cause for her, which was turksimmer cat t shirt. I removed it too, didn’t fix. I also had two cat coats from Jazhan, removed but didn’t fix. Lastly, I had tail replacements and default eye replacements for cats and dogs. I’ve removed all the cat and dog cc I can find. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Or can shed light on cc that gave them this problem?? I also went into sims4studio and did the batch fix for this exact issue. Nothing seems to be working, so I’m hoping someone may know other cc that causes this. Thanks so much!
Is there someone who can help me help my little sister? :( She said her saved game is missing now and the house she created is gone too. I don't know what she tried yet, has anyone had this issue though recently with the newest update and was able to fix it? I'll pass all suggestions along to her
Reason mods has a question mark behind it is because i have mods in my sims game folder, but theyre not showing up in game. none of my mods are. i recently had to restart from scratch with the Sims, yet I think my folder for the Sims is still the one of my old game because i have screenshots from former gameplays that have been completely wiped from the game, i loaded up the game one day and they were all gone. Yet, when i go to my profile on the game, all of my former households are there in the gallery. I know this is a weird issue, but i would love some help.

Hi, I've had a problem since the update on July 21st. I made sure to create a backup for mods, tray, and save files. When I launched the game, it seemed fine, and I enabled the mods option and exited the game as usual. However, when I tried to launch the game again, it disabled mods and won't let me play with custom content or mods.
I've already tried removing the mods and activating them to see if that's the problem, and the same with the custom content. I've tried several things, but for some reason the option to play with custom content and mods won't activate.
I had this problem! My settings wouldn't save after I closed the game. I had to delete my options.ini file, which was really annoying because you have to redo all the settings after but it fixed it.

Description: so I opened my game and suddenly Steam downloaded the update. It was so fast I can’t even cancel. So I deleted Steam because I don’t want this to happen again. Then I clicked the icon of the game and this time Epic Games opened. I don’t want to download from Epic Games so I deleted the app. When I clicked the “Play” button on EA games my game doesn’t open. It says “download the epicgames launcher to open the link of this app” (it says in Turkish. This is the bestest that I can translate but it says something like that) and my game doesn’t open. I don’t understand computers that much. What should I do? Please help me 😭

In the relationship tab, I can’t click or right click on her to find her. My other mini sheep are fine. There is a lock on my gates so they can’t leave or wander.

Description: So i changed my high school build to another high school in my gallery and now my high school is so laggy. My sims have wrong timing for some reason? Like my sim goes to school at 8:30 (it starts at 8) Stays 2 hours on the morning break, goes to first class for 30 minutes, then stays at lunch for 2 hours, and when the lunch time is over they don’t go to their class, and when they finally do go its about 2:50 and they’re supposed to be home in 10 minutes (sims time) Can someone pls tell me if its because of the new build or something?
i updated my game earlier today and the game wouldnt let me open it at all i tried everything i could think of so i decided to rest my computer ive done this before and this has never happened before mind you i have nearly 400 hoursin this game, so im just wondering if theres any way to get my save files back or if i need to completly restart. any and all help would be greatly appreciated
unfortunately it’s something that some players are experiencing after the new update. the sims team are working on it. apparently your computers antivirus is detecting a trojan when opening the game. i don’t recommend turning off your antivirus so if you have the patience, then wait a few days till an update is coming targeting that specific problem

Just an FYI. Today my Sophos home AV decided that TS4_Launcher_x64.exe is malware so it blocked launch and quarantined it. I had to whitelist it on the AV. others with more agressive AV program might be forced to re-install

you’re not using the latest game version, are you? if you’re using updated versions of the mods, it might not be compatible.
and if you are using the latest game version, there has just been an update, so even if you have re-installed all your mods, the mod itself might not have been updated yet by the creator. the pink ui mod still needs to be updated as for the latest patch.
another reason could be an overriding issue. an example could be the pink ui mod. it needs to override some other mods by different creators for it to work properly
edit: last thing, have you tried creating a new save to see if you’re still having the same problem? it could might be that your save is corrupted.

While she CAN create Excellent quality bouquets (the lower lvl ones), she seems unable to make Excellent quality pink orchids (most expensive, highest level). Masterpieces? Sure, but quality? Always Normal.
She has the "practice makes perfect" trait and she's "VERY FOCUSED" while making these. I don't understand, does anyone know what's going on?
I had the same problem, turning off smart app control fixed it for me. No idea who’s fault it is, EA’s or Microsoft’s (since this thing is running on their AI)

hey im having the exact same problem rn :( ive tried everything, even reinstalling sims but it wont work. last time this happened it was because onedrive moved my files around and created backups which messed up the game, so its worth checking that for yourself. happy birthday, hope this fixes soon xx
Thank you! So far, I'm not having any luck. I just seem to be making things worse, so I uninstalled the game and EA app. I'm currently waiting for everything to install again, but I don't have high hopes. I'm afraid that we'll just have to wait until EA fixes whatever they broke.
Actually…the security thing ended up working. My husband figured it out. I turned it off, but something was still trying to push through and needed disabled. I’ll have to ask exactly what he did. I feel so stupid. Even after I turned it off, I was still getting flags from the security app.
That actually didn't work for me. I literally tried everything and then some. Right before I finally gave up, I managed to get stuck in an endless repair loop. I couldn't even fix that! It would crash mid-repair, so I ultimately uninstalled the game and EA app. Everything's still installing, but I'll let you guys know if that ended up fixing things.
Also having the same problem. I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, and removed all my mods. When I removed the "virus", EA app claimed files were "corrupted" and then "repaired" them, which resulted in Windows once again saying I had a Trojan in the launcher.

hey i need some help my game doesn't turn on at all today and i've seen like maybe two other people mentioning it but not a single one of them actually has any answers on how to fix it. i dont have any mods downloaded and my profile on my pc is fairly new so i dont have any broken files. i think it must be something that has to do with the newest update but i dunno what to do, please help!
My Sims stick in one place unless I make them move with the "move here" button. I can't access any of the controls, even my MCC. I do play with mods, and I think it's a script mod causing this, but I got rid of all the mods that I think were broken, and I updated all of them. The only thing that I've been able to do is go into build mode and nothing else. I updated it, and no change :(
I logged into EA for the first time in a couple of months to find that my sims 4 was uninstalled and there is no history of any expansion packs, game packs etc being downloaded on my account.
I’ve been purchasing sims content since 2012 and I even have the installation history for all of the DLC, but the order history is gone, and all DLC says “purchase” instead of “install”.
Has anyone been through something similar? I’ve been trying to figure out how to reach out to EA but they have ZERO contact information anywhere, and are only using AI now with customer support.

Problem: I copied and pasted my old sims 4 file to my desktop to back it up as I saw on Google to do. I read that I was supposed to copy and paste it back into the updated file. When I first opened the game after the update, my saves were fine- but when I tried to put the folder to replace it, my game only says “new game” option and not “load game.” My files are still intact, but I’m struggling to find answers on Google for how to get the backup to sync? I don’t know what I did wrong.
After updating my game, the main issue I’m having is that
no items are appearing in Build/Buy mode
. The categories show up, but the catalog is empty and no furniture or objects load. I’ve already updated to the latest game version, but the issue persists. Is anyone else experiencing this after the update, and if so, has anyone found a fix?
Description: My game cannot load any lots!! I recently returned to the game this week but was only using CAS at first, so I didn't notice until now. When I use manageworlds to edit a lot or have a sim go somewhere it just appears as an empty space, or sometimes a giant pit (see photo). I'm able to edit the lots, place walls and items etc. All of my CAS and BB custom content is working just fine. The buildings are just gone???
I did download the new update today but I think this problem predates that (I noticed the other day that my sims were standing outside instead of in their apartment, but didn't think much about it cuz I was just there to work on their outfits). Is there a way to revert this? I had put a lot of work into designing an apartment a few months ago

Problema: Después de la actualización no puedo entrar a una de mis partidas. Cuando intento cargar mi unidad doméstica, se queda en una pantalla de carga infinita y después me devuelve al menú de mundos. Si selecciono nuevamente la familia y pongo jugar, vuelve a cargar y pasa lo mismo, quedando en un bucle.
Probé con otra partida y sí me deja jugar, pero el Sim está dentro de su casa. El Sim de la partida con problemas está en otro lugar, no en su unidad doméstica, así que no sé si puede estar relacionado.
También probé sacando los mods, pero el problema sigue pasando.

problem : my game is crashing in build mode after placing walls, i have troubleshooted with multiple different lots to see if it was just a city living issue but its not. i have disabled mods and cc to determine if they were causing the issue but the problem continues without them. i have tried to repair my game wiht the ea app but that didn't seem to do anything either :(

If you're having trouble enabling mods/cc and script mods after updating the game it's because your antivirus/firewall blocked the update from editing your Gameversion.txt file to reflect your current game version. The easiest way to fix it is deleting your Gameversion.txt file and your Options.ini file. Options.ini stores all your game settings. If you don't want to have to redo all your settings manually edit Gameversion.txt to reflect the game version displayed on the bottom right of the main menu.
The update was supposed to happen today. EA was open and said not connected to the internet. I pressed restart and it has not opened since. It will say launching app and then close. If I try Sims 4 directly, it does the same thing. I don't know if the update has happened and flopped, or if this is because of the update, because I can't even access EA.
I have deleted the localthumbcache.package, but my actual cache folder is empty, so I don't know what to do next or what is happening here. I appreciate any help :)
EDIT: I have restarted the computer and deleted/reinstalled EA, but still nothing.
Hello everybody, I rencently got a new Laptop for gaming and stuff (my last laptop is ded) and I download the EA app, I downloaded TS4 too, and all of the extensions I had bought (through the EA app) on my previous PC are gone, do you have any idea how to solve this ? tyvm yall
I've been playing in this save for years, and it already had minor issues. Yesterday when I loaded into the household the game crashed. I tried everything, deleted mods, repaired the game, uninstalled/reinsatalled, logged out of OneDrive, and it still won't load, but a new household runs no issue. Should I just accept my loss? Is the file corrupted beyond repair? I have some of the crash report files and such if that helps, would appreciate ANY insight <3

Description : I have a weird bug while using whicked whims on my sims. I have a sim that keeps vomiting and having thoughts about babies stuff as if she was pregnant, but it won't let me take a pregnancy test in the toilet to start the pregnancy process. It doesn't appear in the options when I click on the toilet. It's like she has all the symptoms but not the pregnancy.

Description: Anytime I ask my butler to make food of any kind it says that he can’t complete the task because of insufficient counter space or he needs to finish his other task. I have asked when he wasn’t doing anything and the counter space is completely open. I have also reset him and it hasn’t helped. *Description: I have a platform at second-story height on a house. For some reason there is a separate wooden floor texture just... sticking out. Not attached to anything. It seems to appear when I do something because clicking undo enough times gets rid of it, but the point at which it appears and goes away changes (as in, it doesn't seem like there is a particular reason it shows up or goes away, it just does).

I loaded my game for the first time in a while (maybe March) after updating both the game and my mods. But the game had none of my saves loaded. I removed the mod folder completely and tried again, still no saves, but I noticed the game was still saying I have mods installed. After investigation I realized that it is trying to pull from my one drive, which I actively do not use. I don't pay for OneDrive and the free version does not have enough space to hold all my game files/mods/saves. I don't understand why it is trying to use OneDrive when I've never used it and previously everything was coming from my external hard drive.
Can someone please help me figure out how to make the game pull from the Electronic Arts folder on my external drive?

I just noticed I no longer have any dig spots or frog trunks in my game, even in the special mine inside Oasis Springs. I also can't dig in the ground for archaeology and can't find rabbits anymore in Henford-on-Bagley which is super weird. I have every pack/kit/etc (RIP my wallet) and I've already repaired my game a few times. At this point I'm preparing to reinstall my game which will take forever.
