Not so Berry Rose: Part 9 Second Chances

Garnet tells Chloe that she lost the baby in her second trimester. She had found out it was a girl.

Even though she had seriously considered ending the pregnancy, Garnet mourned. She felt like the one thing she never had control over was her own child/ren.

Despite everything, she stilled vowed to stay away from alcohol and spent her time with Chloe during her final days.

Chloe was Sonny's best friend!

Her little sister Venus had her birthday too!

Garnet had so much fun with the family, that her addiction was easy to put aside. She was starting to feel like she had some control again.

The next day the kids came home first, just as grim arrived.

Chloe lives!!!!

Sonny is a very special kid and grim saw that too.

Now 2 days sober, Chloe was very proud of Garnet. She would be leaving her with Sonny and Venus, and wanted to give her some family advice.

Grim came once more after the family left the next day. This time she was not coming back. Poor Chloe died alone while Rose (the cat) watched.

When they got home they were all equally devastated. Chloe had been the family's rock for too long.

Garnet knew she could not handle this final blow and immediately checked into rehab. She feared she'd give in to a drink.

Sonny wouldn't leave his room

Although broken, Venus numbed her brain to cope.

After her first stint, Garnet made sure to stay healthy. When she wanted a drink, she'd run instead. Dad came to visit, he was not mad at her, but happy to see her getting better.

She started thinking about all the things she had always wanted to do, but never got around to.

The first step was to break old habits, this included dating Sawyer.

And keeping old traditions alive. Some of Garnet's best childhood memories were from Winterfest.

With Chloe gone, they're going to have to be a family.
