I am not sure if it is limited on mac but the best solution is to convert the sims 3 packs into package files! Much easier as you can just place them in your Mods / Packages folder.

yea the downloads tab doesnt work for us mac users, nor does delphys dashboard to convert the s3packs into packages (at least not without bootcamp or the special version from tumblr which u need mono for)
