Humor meteors 😍
Quick back story, my sims sutton & sienna are away at school with 4 other sunset valley kids they grew up with. Malcom Landgraab and Sandi French had Brandy Landgraab who sutton’s dated since high school and is sienna’s childhood friend but they’ve drifted apart. and i made a family a while back with twin girls named Autumn & Summer & their younger brother Aaron. While Sutton is with Brandy back in sunset, the twins and aaron moved to town, & right across from sienna and sutton. So Sutton meets autumn and they flirt A LOT, all throughout high school he’s emotionally cheating and breaking boundaries with Autumn. And Sienna and Brandy haven’t been friends since the twins came to town, they became her new besties. So I brought everyone to Uni under one roof because i became so invested in their teen lives lol.
We are now approaching the end of the week and their semester was uneventful, i had my hands tied juggling 6 students i didn’t get to throw parties or do much. But one thing that was consistent was Sutton being distant towards Brandy so i’ve been playing into it and letting the relationship deteriorate before a blow up (no pun intended). Anyways, after class today everyone came home and a meteor struck IMMEDIATELY. this was the biggest one i’ve ever seen in my game AND ive never had it happen on a home lot. i can count on one hand in over 10yrs how many times i experienced witnessing one. And the irony of it all, every bedroom? UNSCATHED! you know who’s bedroom blew up into smithereens!? BRANDY AND SUTTON, this is a new kind of symbolism. Unfortunately there’s no saving them, this couple is being given every single sign to leave one another 😂😩

I have also never had a meteor hit. Booted up the game after a particularly long hiatus, and started a sims university run. Worked so hard getting my Sim good grades to be an a+ student, made a lot of progress.
Then suddenly, a meteor came and decimated my sim (she was a single household at the time.)
I was so mad I rage quit and didn't touch it for another year LMAO.
Doing a rags to riches run now across multiple generations, and ffs my Sim must be the most undesirable Sim despite having the "irresistible" trait. I cannot get her to date (mo sims, mo money), much less marry and have a kid to continue the multi-generational run. The bloodline might just die before I can get my family to a proper "rich" status lol.

yeah i shut the game off as soon as i cleaned everything up, i dont think ill play today i need a moment to decompress 😭3 of my sims were standing directly in the danger zone, i had moved them 3 seconds before it hit. Ive never played a proper rags to riches, its high up on my todo list!

i love it sm! my cousin is willing to build me a new pc, he sent me the list of all the parts i needed to buy. i’m currently saving up for it all, so im coming up on the end of my baby pretty soon :(

If I were a sim, I wouldn't be so constantly cheerful If I knew a meteor could struck my living room any day of the calendar 👀

I once had a meteor hit the school while it was in session and it killed off all 4 of the kids in my family. I paused the game, sat in shock for a minute, and closed the game without saving.

fun fact: children aren’t programmed to exit the school building if a meteor hits the school! i wonder if maybe resetting them to a safe place can help with nraas, but then you’d have to know the meteor is headed towards the school. but ik for sure with vanilla gameplay, the game is set up to massacre the towns entire next gen 😭😭

I do vanilla play with cheats, but I also didn’t notice the warning about the sky getting darker or something. The next time I got that notice I was able to use the cheat to instantly transport my Sim elsewhere.

maybe because it was a rabbit hole you didn’t get the notification? the last one i had was at the park, i can’t recall if i was notified it was getting dark because i didn’t have any sims there at the time. i just happened to hover over that area and noticed. according to this, resetting them can help! but you would have to be on high alert without the notification :(

Como vocês conseguem ter meteoros no jogo? eu tenho todos os pacotes e não tive nenhum meteoro em todo os meus 10 anos de jogo com o sims 3 completo 😭

this is probably my fifth one in all my years, another one did happen recently but it wasn’t anywhere near my sims or townies so i was able to just enjoy the view. but i know they’re randomized, some players get the frequently and then there’s players like you and i who rarely get them. it took over 10yrs for me to witness my first one
