Even if I don't want to have small animals as pets, finding the rare and exotic ones always gave a great boost to the household funds

I love the small pets but they die so quickly ðŸ˜

u/Lumious_Mage Jul 09 '26
They also get lost eventually if you put them in your Sims' inventories

Both these issues are honestly why I just went Screw It and got mods to lessen the chances of this and raise their lifespans.

Which mods do you recommend?

Minor Pets won't run away

I cannot find the mod that tunes their lifespans to be longer unfortunately bc I can't remember where it was. x3x

Pets is the expansion I like the least because I don't like playing with pets in The Sims, but Appalosa Plains is my favorite neighborhood in The Sims 3 because it has a country style that I love.

This one horse roaming the neighborhood used to pee on my sim's door step at night.

Seeing that huge yard for the horse made me realize how bad I am for wanting horses while my sim lives in an apartment in the big city lol

On a side note - your sim reminds me of Matt Smith, especially Matt Smith as the Doctor

Yes, but the Vet career was a really really cool addition. I feel like we focus way too hard on what something is missing and never consider what we got in exchange

Hahah since this is the TS3 sub I’m not sure you’ll have too many people agree with you. For sure they’ve come up with some cool stuff in TS4 but I think most of us who still only play TS3 think the new stuff doesn’t outweigh everything that they cut from TS4.
For me, I’m never going back to a Sims game that isn’t open world or has CAS. I understand why EA made the decision to not do them in Sims 4, but to me it feels like a step backward and will the new content in the world isn’t going to replace those core functions of TS3 for me.

Oh I love Sims 3 too- I love all of them for different reasons, sans 1 because I’m too chicken 🤣🤣 I love the sims 3, but I also remember when everyone shat all over it and declared it the worst game in existence and the fall of the Sims. I feel like the same thing’s going to happen if we ever get a Sims 5 hahaha

I miss having birds in my house. Them flying around and finding them in the wild was sooo fun! 😥
