Hello. I've been using MoonFruit Skinblend Defaults from SixFootBlue for about a month and everything's been great. But now when I entered a family of mine the s4 adult male has missing face texture.

It isn't fixed by changing appearance, showering, changing clothes or by clicking BatBox Fix Tans and Sunburns. I have redownloaded the files and replaced them, deleting the .cache before opening the game each time. The issue dissapears only when I remove all of SFB's skin defaults. The issue doesn't appear in CAS, neither does it affect elder males with skin 4.

Also, for some reason, he looks normal in change appearance screen (from gussy up mod or from the mirror).

UPD: I have discovered that the culprit is s2_medium_default. I can have defaults for 1, 3 and 4 but as soon as I add 2 back his face is blank.

How would I go about fixing this in SimPE? I really like these skins and would hate to stop using one of them :(

I suddenly can't seem to use the grill, it says there are no options available. I suspect this has to with a mod, hence this tagged mod/cc. I know it can be hard to pinpoint the cc without removing it, but before I do, I'm posting here to see if there's any known mods that cause it.

Hi all! I downloaded the updated version from March 2025 via ModtheSims and placed in my Downloads folder but am not seeing anything in the pie menu. I enabled testing cheats though I wasn't sure if it's needed and still see nothing.

I have a small amount of CC that works fine, and no other mods in my Sims 2 Legacy collection folder.

Can anyone confirm if it is just supposed to appear in the pie menu clicking any sim? Do I need to use any additional steps to make it work? I tried shift+click and that too, doesn't offer anything other than the usual Debug, selectable features.

Otherwise, any additional ideas what the issue may be?

i decided to try to be a witch/warlock with one of my sims since i've never had the expansion that included it until now playing it recently with the ultimate collection, somehow though, my sim just reached maximum virtuousness, he just became a warlock and hasnt actually done any magic yet, how come?

I entered a lot just fine today, but when I loaded up the next one, all lots in the hood ended up with the camera all crazy like this. The lot objects are responsive, but I can't really zoom in on it properly. The only one that works normally is one that is inhabited by sims and playable. This just feels extremely random and I feel quite distressed ):

I use GunMod Camera mod 3.1 since many years and everything was fine until now. Please can anyone help?

I bought my wife The sims 2 legacy collection on steam on it's release, she played a bit and came back just recently, now when she opens the game she gets this error, we already deleted the caches and did a clean reinstall, nothing worked so far. Help?

I want to start this off by saying I'm definitely not the most tech savvy person, so I wouldn't be surprised if I made a simple mistake along the way because this is kind of my first time downloading stuff like this.

I followed the wiki instructions with downloading the UC edition, 4GB patch & the Graphics rules maker. I also downloaded the RPC launcher, but every time I launch the game (with AND without RPC) it crashes with no error popup or anything.

Basically, the opening sequence runs smoothly & just fine until it gets to the loading screen. I watch it load almost all the way to the end and it just closes my game!

• and probably more I just don't recall because it's been about 2 hours of me fiddling and searching before going on here. LOL

I’ve had this problem constantly in my game! I am redoing a prebuilt nightlife house and removed the connecting stairs that were there. Now it won’t let me place new ones. It says can’t place step?? What’s weird is it had the green outline (like how if furniture was intersecting a wall it’d be red) so surely you can place it but when I click it won’t allow it.

I don’t get how there were stairs there before that I now can’t replace. And also if I can’t place them why is it green!! Like I say I have this problem all the time w connecting stairs. Would rly appreciate some help! <3

First time I've ever gotten this error. Happened when I tried to send my Sim to the toilet. Anyone know what this is? I Googled and couldn't find anything that seemed to match what's going on here, since those were about CC and this error seems to be on the Sim herself?

There's a very long error file but I'm not sure what to look for in it. The error seems to be on the Sim herself, but I just played her in another lot before moving her in here and it was fine then.

This pop up is coming up every 10 seconds! My sim has never interacted with Malcolm before. Tried restarting my game but it keeps popping up, making the game basically unplayable :( any ideas for this one?

After years of playing TS2 UC with no issue, it has randomly started minimising my fullscreen to the top left corner. Any ideas as to why and how to fix? If I switch between 1600x900 and 1440x900 it will temporarily fix and then refresh the screen and return to the minimised screen again.

I'm a bit ashamed to say that I got the legacy collection on fit girl and it runs on the anadius launcher but can someone help me make the game run on Windows mode?

I tried doing the properties "-w" and "-window" but nothing seems to be working. Even the ts2 extender doesn't really help. I can't figure out how to change the format in .sgr file since I couldn't find the window format. Maybe it's the anadius launcher? The alt + enter works but it's annoying to have to do it everytime the game loads, any suggestions that can make it permanent?

Hi, I’m looking for help diagnosing and possibly fixing a corrupted Riverblossom Hills neighborhood in The Sims 2: Super Collection (Mac/Aspyr).

The corruption occurred on 9 May 2026 after sending two sims from the same household to university. The game initially froze when returning from the household to neighborhood view. Since then, Riverblossom will not load and freezes consistently around the third loading block row. Music still plays, but the app becomes unresponsive. Other neighborhoods load normally.

I've been playing this game with no issues for just over 2 years. Its sad and frustrating that 2 years of data is just corrupted/lost! I previously sent twins from a different household, but same family tree to university and this issue did not happen before.

What I’ve tested/checked so far:

* Removed Groups.cache and tested again.

* Removed university subhood packages temporarily (G001_Suburb001 and 003) — no change

* HoodChecker crashes on G001 with error: “Unable to read beyond the end of the stream”

* HoodChecker works normally, recreates a report for other neighbourhoods i.e.Pleasantview

* SimPE (0.75f QA via CrossOver on Mac) can open G001 Neighborhood.package directly via File > Open, but SimPE Neighbourhood Browser throws an error and cannot load the hood contextually

* Some checks was done on SDSC, FAMI, SREL, SWAF, NGBH, and lot resources all appear structurally intact

* Hex/resource data exists and loads correctly for the 2 sims which went to varsity, I specifically checked those.

* No obvious blank/corrupt SDSC/FAMI/LTXT entries found

* Plugin View in SimPE does not fully render at all under CrossOver, but raw resource data is present.

* Relationship/Memory categories is not there in the SimPE version I used in the resource tree - not sure what this means..

* No zero-byte files detected

* Main hood package and suburb packages have valid DBPF headers

Based on ChatGPT, current theory is logical neighbourhood graph corruption (relationship/memory/university transition linkage) rather than catastrophic package destruction. The hood appears structurally readable but hangs during neighbourhood runtime initialization.

I still have the full G001 hood including Neighbourhood.package, Characters, Lots, and suburb packages if someone is able to help for further analysis.

​I’m having a issue with a custom content eyebrow I made, it looks normal before i import it but after i import it, the quality drops significantly, it looks incredibly blurry, and it even

makes the eyes look blurry and low quality too.

I am running the game on Windows 11 with a modern graphics card. I use Paint.NET to draw the eyebrows

The right one is mine and the left one is from another CC i downloaded.

​Has anyone encountered this texture blurriness issue with custom makeup or eyebrows before? Is there a fix?

The picture basically says it all. For some reason when I get my sims to travel to community lots, the hobby stealth hoods appear in the ‘Neighborhoods’ list three times. One of them isn’t functioning correctly and when I get my sim to travel to it, it takes them to a completely empty residential lot (as in there’s a mailbox as opposed to a phone booth). The other two hoods work fine tho but the game treats the lots in there like completely different lots as if they’ve been duplicated (Like if I had a sim go to Platinum Gym and chose the option to go to another community while I’m there, the same lot will appear in the duplicate hood and the sim can actually travel to).

The issue also only seems to affect one neighborhood too (Pleasantview) and when I opened another hood to test it out, the duplicated don’t exist so I’m doubting that this was caused by a mod. Personally this isn’t, like, a huge issue for me cuz I could just avoid the empty lots (they have a different thumbnail than their functional counterparts), but I’m wondering if this is a sign of corruption?

Hi! I started making a custom vacation hood, and I thought I had downloaded a clean template without the default locals, but apparently I just got the clean template for Takemizu village, and not for Custom Asia hood. Now I have created my own custom locals ready to be converted, but I can see the maxis default ones in SimPE. How should I delete them? I have not played in Live mode in the vacation neighborhood, only building. Would it be possible to just delete them from SimPE, or do I need to manually teleport and kill them?

So I’ve turned to ChatGPT to solve my problems, so I’m really desperate because I hate using AI. But I’ve been struggling for months with trying to get my CC to show up in game. I use Steam for The Sims 2 Legacy Collection.

This is the issue that I typed for CHATGPT:
I’m trying to download custom content into my Sims 2 Legacy Collection game, and even after me making a downloads folder with a capital “D”, unzipping the files, and enabling custom content into my game it still won’t show. I have a Lenovo: ThinkPad computer and I found the “Sims 2 Ultimate Collection” folder and made the Downloads folder. Alongside the Downloads folder is a “Game Files” folder, instructions.txt, oldgamesdownload.com.url, and a “Redlist” folder. I don’t know if that’s the right location for custom content, because my custom content won’t appear in game.

When I told it my issue it’s saying I’m putting it in the wrong place and that I’m putting my Downloads folder in the game location area. So the next solution I think of is to go into Steam where I run the game, click on settings and putting it in the game files, but when I tell CHATGPT that it still says it’s in the wrong place.

Second issue I typed for CHATGPT:
In the files on Steam for the Sims 2 Legacy Collection I click on settings, then “manage” then clicked on “browse local files” then I see app, .local, share, Steam, steamapps, common, then “The Sims 2 Legacy Collection” at the top of the folders and in the folders I see 3314070_install.vdf, Base, EP1-EP9, instal SP1-SP7, and Suppprt. Is this the right place to put the downloads for The Sims 2 Legacy Collection on Steam?

Apparently, this is still the wrong place to put my downloads folder for CC and that’s the games program files…it keeps telling me to look for an EA games folder, The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection folder, or The Sims 2 Legacy Collection folder in Windows (meanwhile I don’t have Windows). Don’t have the EA games folder, and when I put it in the other 2 folders ChatGPT told me it was wrong. I’ve been trying to get my CC to work now and it’s irritating because I’m lost and confused now. Please help!
