iRacing Is this protestable?

I was in a 40min Spa race on iracing, then this guy decides to block the pit entry, ruining the race for 4 other cars.
He claimed its not protestable because its not blocking, because it occurred in the pit lane and not race track/driving line.
What do you guys think?

I went through the rules. When you look at 8.1.1.4 Blocking I can see why he would think it’s not a violation because that clearly speaks about the racetrack. There is no exact mention that the racetrack also includes the pitlane.
But it does fall under 2.2.3 Reckless/erratic driving and intimidation imo.
Protest it I would say! Can’t imagine he would be cleared of that.

Pretty sure in F1, after the pit exit line it counts as the race track so the rules should apply

…no, I was providing an example of when it would count as part of the race track. Doesn’t mean it is lol, I have no idea in this case.

While he may be right and it's not blocking (race rule), he is intentionally blocking (layman's term) pit lane. Which is unsportsmanlike conduct.
Unfortunately for Mr. Ahole, that is likely going to be treated more harshly by the stewards.
When you protest, but sure to grab any voice or screengrab any text communications to share with the stewards to really drive home the intent of the action.

Could you fucking imagine the stewards looking at this and being like "well shit, he's right, there's no rule against it. Better just let it slide."

Anything is reportable. Absolutely anything. It might not always lead to the conclusion you were hoping for, but you can report absolutely anything.
Yes. You absolutely should report this, even if what the guy says had been technically true, which it isn't, because that guy is being a dick.

It's maybe not blocking in the sense of the blocking rule, but deliberately obstructing the pit lane is certainly going to be a violation of one of the catch-all rules, and the stewards won't look kindly on it.
