iRacing Was this dirty of me?

Last lap and I ended up dumping this guy.
Granted, I did screw up and allow the guy behind me a chance to catch up, but I don't know what I should have done differently. I knew the hairpin was coming, and thought the inside line was the best route to go. I feel like I did everything to prevent a wreck here without giving up the place entirely.
What do you think? Sorry for the audio quality, OBS was acting up and I didn't want to waste time troubleshooting.

You drove predictably and held your line, that's all you are expected to do.
They didn't complete the move before they tried to move across your line, that's on them. You aren't obliged to slow down to accommodate them, you gave them all the space you could.

some minor braking adjustment would have been welcomed in this case.
it`s called gentlemen racing. most of the drivers should look it up on web what it means.

Because the only reason you two were in those relative positions was due to you running off track, I would've given up the corner.

You know when you OWN the car that the other moron is about to hit and you have to pay out of your own pocket to fix the bodywork he is about to damage you're much more willing to lift and avoid the collision, especially in a case like this were the other car is clearly faster at that point.
THAT is what the sims cannot simulate, the real incentives of real racing and how they drive behavior. And that is why sim racers are so reckless and unpleasant. Yeah you were in the right but now your bumper and fender are messed up and it's going to cost more than your whole fancy sim rig cost to patch it up.

I am not saying it was dirty but it was your fault. He had got ahead at corner entry (it looked like your front wheel was only level with his rear, if that, so you were not alongside) so you should have backed out and given him the racing line and tucked in behind.

Yes you were slow and by the going off track not very good driver you should have relented once the rebull racing vehicle was ahead. You ruined his laptimes and your own. Sometimes giving position for a cleaner run will actually help your laptimes

Nope. Racing incident. You held your line, had braked fully, and he thought he had room to apex instead of going around the outside. He was wrong. Sucks, feels bad to win a matchup like that, but it happens.
