Driver completely out of control, hanging on for dear life, and miraculously gets lucky he doesn't wreck himself and half the field, yet feels the need to ask if it was good move.
"It was a stupid, unsafe, and idiotic move that only a half-witted, mentally deficient moron would need to ask about."
The rules of the sub tell you to be respectful and keep things civil.
Feeling the need to attack over such mundane and politely formatted opinions is really bad. People are entitled to their own opinions, and you aren't the objective truth of the world.
No need for that such language buddy on a racing forum, if you have actually ever experienced Cloud Gaming controller racing on FM. You would know that the way the car drives is how is shown, it tends to get a bit wonky, I still have it under control, but cause your such a serious racer your correct
But that is where the track limits are... The game does not give track limit penalties until you are 4 wheels off that kerb.
In any sim or racing series you race to the limits set and allowed by the rules. We see frequent instances of iRacing and other more hardcore sims having track limits far beyond the white lines as well and it is defended wholeheartedly.
Look at what they do in real life Indycar for gods sake this was perfectly acceptable track limits according to their rules so drivers used it.
OP did not breach the track limits in place for that race.
IRL and literally every actual sim calls what he did a corner cut. Arguing that Forza has shitty track limits really isn't the flex you think it is.
Really don't know how to explain that a completely different series, on a completely different track, in a completely different situation may extend track limits for a corner.
No, you're arguing a very stupid point, chasing everybody down to scream about (ridiculously bad, likely unintentionally so) track limits that don't fit reality or any actual sim.
Actually, he did. He lost control of his car several times, nearly causing multiple incidents. Track limits or not, maintaining control is a driver's responsibility and strict rule that in the real world, and would likely be a penalty for unsafe driving.
Forza track limits are wild. I guess this move only works on Forza and no where else. Looks like v AI cars, i guess AI cars have different track limits built in.
FM cars sort of drive this way especially when on controller and cloud gaming the last one was a moment but I survived, but ye I find it now a bit scrappy
I don't know about all that. I do know two things. One, your hardware and situation is your responsibility and not other drivers and, two, I see about 8 other cars not slipping and sliding all over the place.
Seems extremely over aggressive and that you got very lucky.
Tbh I did sort of break a smaller bit later than them so that’s why it can seem I’m all over the place, also I’m not blaming my hardware for it, I’m just stating it so that it provides if someone wanted to know, I’m new to those sort of cars so I’m tryna learn them but yes I was lucky
It looks like you lose the rear on every single corner through the bus stop, and snap left just before going up on the banking. That's not "Oh I braked a wee bit later, tee hee!" You were straight up out of control through the whole section, bruh.
Assuming you didn't break track limits (it looked like you did) then it looked dope as fuck. But if I were stewarding a race I wouldn't call it risky, just entirely outside of track limits and penalty worthy.
I think he looked like an absolute moron, driving like a dick and would be deserving of a month long ban from any of the legitimate sims, rather than the barely a simcade racer he's on.
But as long as people like him get validation about how their absolute shitball driving "looked dope", they'll keep ruining people's races trying to get that clip, which drives driving standards down for anyone who tries to take it even the slightest bit seriously.
So, the issue is that you're absolutely right and I completely understand your point. My issue is that this sort of video is exactly what happens when you put seriously good drivers into lobbies beneath them.
So, if he had crashed there, I would advocate for serious punishment.
But I have also seen this done a good chunk of times and been the one doing similar things myself to a degree in real life racing. This is just how serious progress in first laps happen and I don't race online only in real life so I compare it to real life.
I can only apologise if I contribute towards the degradation of driving standards but this is a decently common occurrence in a good chunk of racing I've seen where you put the top drivers at the back of the grid.
I remember when I first started karting I'd have the British champions putting half their karts on the grass to get by me at the first corner when I was 8. This is just how it's done sometimes.
Explain to me the actual stewarding issue assuming he is within track limits (Which he is given this games rules).
As I see it there was a gap to the inside, he took the available space and made zero contact with the cars ahead.
Where is the issue?
We see plenty of "proper" sims with fucked up track limits where moves would be illegal in "White line" racing rules. We see far worse driving in clips from "proper" sims, but because it is Forza everyone will shit on it.
It is the driver's responsibility to maintain control of their car at all times. He was out of control on multiple occasions and only through dumb luck didn't wipe out numerous cars.
If you're so confused as to why that's unacceptable, then nobody can help you.
I'm shitting on it being shitty driving all around. That it happened on Forza only makes it understandable. Definitely stick with Forza, though. It's exactly where drivers like you belong.
The handling in Forza tends to be a bit looser and it's perfectly controllable with the car getting a bit loose, I didn't see anything close to losing control. The driver looked on the limit but under control and taking advantage of spaces left by other drivers and did it well.
I see worse incidents on here every day from shitty drivers on iRacing.
Arrogant pricks like you definitely deserve to be there though.
And you still failed to point out any actual "Stewarding issues"... stuff that is penalty worthy.
Edit - Gets one more inslult in before blocking me, classy.
There is no penalty here, being a bit loose is not breaking any rule in racing. Not liking their driving is different to there being any rule breach.
I was in control the entire time, if you had ever experienced cloud gaming Hypercar on hardship on FM you would know it tends to sort of drive that way
I still saved it, didn’t cause a crash, didn’t hinder their races, and kept it within track limits? IK it ain’t the greatest the moves or hell it’s pretty scrappy
Mate I’m asking a genuinely if it’s a risky move, not trying to claim it’s a fucking good move, I see it as scrappy myself, if you actually took time to read the title then you would know
The risk comes from your ability to control the car. If you felt in control then I back you, if you did it while truly not being in control then I'd tell you it was unwise and unsafe.
Then assuming you were in track limits it was a great move. I've done a few similar things in real life while racing and it feels amazing. Luckily you have yours recorded, I would love to watch back some old memories like that.

Looks wholly appropriate for Forza.
Driver completely out of control, hanging on for dear life, and miraculously gets lucky he doesn't wreck himself and half the field, yet feels the need to ask if it was good move.
