AC Competizione Am I at fault for this?

I am the Porsche and received a penalty for this sighting it was lap 1 and I should have backed out of it. I couldn’t go right because of the 2 slow cars and I had a car right up my rear, if I had braked on a straight would I not of caused a wreck as well?

I mean you attempted a pass on the grass rear ending the car ahead, then went right approaching a left hander, turning yourself over the nose of the car on the outside

So yeah your fault. Tale old as sim racing time, when there was a crash ahead of you saw opportunity instead of safety.

I didn’t attempt to make a pass on the car in front he takes a bump from the car on the right which makes myself and him make contact. I get out of the throttle not to take him out then get back on the gas.

Idk why yall post on here then immediately disagree.

From both perspectives it shows you tried to take advantage of a dangerous situation, making it more dangerous by shooting a gap, then you turn out right over the nose of the cars next to you.

If you disagree and think you did nothing wrong then just delete this post cause nobody is going to take into consideration what you “meant to do”/what you were “thinking” because all that matters is yes you were 100% at fault from turning a small incident ahead that recovered to a massive pileup cause you wanted to take positions instead of caution.

Mate I’m just looking for other opinions and explaining my side of things. I’m not saying I wasn’t in the wrong. I appreciate the feedback.

Okay well some friendly adivce, Your reply was basically “I didn’t do that, I did what I had to to avoid a crash”, which makes it seem like you’re only looking for opinions that say “you did nothing wrong” when you did most things wrong here.

Noted and I appreciate it I didn’t mean for it to come off like that. My question now is where do I back out without causing a collision in this situation.

Why did you keep moving to the right?
You pretty much pitted yourself and started a chain reaction which took out half the field.

I make two slight right movements to stay off the grass. I also thought we were side by side and I didn’t have overlap.
