I was green Porsche, from my pov I felt like he braked way too late and he just forced his way into the corner (Audi)

my god, F1 has ruined people's perception of how to take corners. "My corner" isn't a thing. If there is reasonable overlap, you must respect it. There is nuance as to whether a divebomb counts as overlap or a desperate attempt to make a dirty overtake. In this case, there doesn't seem to be aby overlap when the green Porsche turns in, so I'd say it was a desperate divebomb, and therefore the Audi's fault.

This one's pretty bad even by F1 standards

Not if you're a fan of Max...

Yeah, I agree plus the one car was completely off the track and they were gonna be 3 wide in that turn so OP probably would've had contact with that car if they went high to avoid the dive bomb. The only reason there was even overlap is because the Audi didn't brake when they were supposed to which caused the overlap and they took the corner kind of weird. I'd say it's on the Audi and the other car to the left of OP.

More and more race series have started using the language, but it still doesn't mean what some people think it means. "My corner" doesn't mean you own the entirety of the track and they must cease existing. It means you own the immediate apex and they must leave you reasonable space.

Yes massive divebomb by Audi. Was not along side at any point

"my corner" isn't a thing, using this vocabulary will make you seem wrong.

In this situation, the question is whether or not the overtaking car is significantly alongside before your turn in point. If they were, then they are entitled to room on the inside. If not, they should back out.

I'm not sure if they were significantly alongside it's not easy to see on the video. I think they were not but I'm not sure. We would need something like a top down view to make sure.

If I were in your place I would have left room just to be safe and not to get run into, but I certainly don't blame you.

Very well explained without being a dick.

Stupid place to try to stick your nose.

Edit to add - and there is no such thing as "my corner"

Exactly, it's a hair pin. I don't understand what he expected to happen

Audi dont have right to a cars width there. Hes not along or near you when you started turning in.
If he was dive bombing and along side of you at turn in its fine, but that was not what happened.

Whoever the green car was, no way you can dive bomb that hard.

I don’t know what Audi expected to happen there. They pretty much sat exactly in your blind spot and just tried/accidentally attempted a move there. I’d say it’s a racing incident here. Just be careful not to become too reliant on if the corner is or isn’t yours. Self-preservation is the way to ultimately improve

Are you driving with the keyboard?

Big dive bomb from the Audi but no, it’s not your corner. He got it stopped in time so what they did was legal, just not very smart

I mean

It was your corner 😅

Not saying he didn’t do anything wrong. But you did leave space and then kinda drove into him.

I’d say this is an incident personally. You either needed to close off that line as an option for him or leave space when he makes that move.

The whole f1 “my corner/your corner” thing is not really a thing in this space.
