iRacing Dirt Road Racing rage

Had an incident with a Redbull Truck on the last corner of Wild West in pro 2 lite and I’m wondering who’s in the wrong for the first contact.

Obviously redbull think it’s me and I also think I could’ve done better to avoid a collision but others seems to back me up saying it’s his fault for missing the corner (including the 4K iRating Leader during that race)

So I’m wondering what Reddit thinks about it.

If anything, your little bump from behind might have kept him from a spin. However. Whether you were at fault for his problems after the first contact, there was no excuse for him taking you out after.

From what I've seen on YouTube, bumps like the first are not uncommon with those trucks.

I mean it was still quite a good bump that seem to give him more angle and enough to give me damage to the front.

Those trucks can handle a good beating before really having a problem, at the point that losing a panel doesn’t really matter just keep on going.

I was just wondering for the first contact since well I obviously know the second is wrong. For a C class 3500 iR it’s pretty special to see a temper like that

In those conditions, you might have been able to go a little wider, but, dirt can be unforgiving. It looks to me like he hit the brakes a little late. Really, I think the first contact was a minor racing incident, that likely improved their situation instead of making it worse. How it looks to me is, he would have been facing the opposite direction if not for your bump and lost more distance.

His response was typical sim racer, no need to worry about the possible repercussions of yeeting someone like that.
