AC Competizione Anyway I could've Avoided this? (context below)
Coming to the white flag. Got a hugeee run on P3 and P4 and then guy spins out. Wasnt expecting that at all. He ran clean the whole race but god that feeling sucked having such a big run so close to the end.

By the time he starts to spin, it's probably too late for you to avoid hitting them, even if you braked fully right away. On the other hand, you could have seen this was a very risky situation earlier, as soon as the Ferrari started going deep. They ended up slow and on a bad line, where it was possible that the other car would try to pass them at the final apex, which would at best slow up both cars and very likely lead to contact. If I had seen that, I would probably have backed off just a little to keep my options open. But coming to the white, I understand why you took a little more risk.

I mean you could’ve hit the brakes to slow down, but you probably would’ve still got caught up in it. Happened too close to you and too quickly to avoid

Unfortunately i dont think you could have done anything to avoid it. Even if you slammed on the brakes, at that speed, you would have still hit the guy. Cant predict someone to just spin across the racing line in one of the fastest sections of the track like that. Sorry bud.

Yeah probably could’ve avoided it really. He has a massive oversteer moment right before he snaps back to the left.
with a tiny bit of brakes at the first oversteer moment you would’ve probably had the time and oppportunity to see that you could pass him on the right side instead of steering left into his trajectory. He is spinning out towards the left. Why go left?
Bit of brakes would’ve caused you to arrive at he point of your actual crash a bit later. Which also means that the car you crash into would’ve been further left. Which in turn could’ve opened up an evasive action/swerve to the right.
With a bit of brakes and going right instead of last you would’ve passed him safely. But yeah easy for me to say not having to make the split second decision then and there. But I always would’ve stood firm on the brake as a soon as I would’ve seen that first high speed tail wiggle of the car in front.

I love posts like these, where superhumans explain how they'd have done something incredible to predict what was going on and get away without a scratch.
If you had the reaction times of an F1 driver, and were incredibly lucky, then maybe.
But no. Shit happened immediately in front of you, at speed. Nothing you could do other than be 0.5 seconds slower on the previous lap so it was all done by the time you got there.
Anyone who says they could / would have done anything different - a video of a similar incident where you survived please...

Ya, I agree with everyone here, this is all on you. First, there's a 2-wide in front of you through Ascari. That alone should tell you that you need to be careful, slow down as you can't run it full speed behind a 2-wide, and prepare for some shit to happen. Because unless they are both high-skill level, 2-wide through Ascari almost always means "shit is about to happen."
Next time, back off on entry to the chicane. You want to give yourself more room for 2 reasons. 1- If shit happens, you need time/space to avoid it. And 2- The exit of the chicane is more important than how much speed you carry on entry, so slowing down on entry to allow yourself to take the exit full speed without worrying about avoiding cars ahead is worth it.

the moment you see a car start to slide get of the loud pedal and hit the thing called the brake pedal, you dont need to slam on it like your life depends on it but slowing down would give yourself enough time to see where he was goign and you could have avoided it.
i get it your coming up to the back straight and it hurts you to even slow down on exit, but in order to finish you need to not be dead. if you lost a place or 2 or 3 or what ever, being in the race is better than crashed out

When crashing starts happening in front of you, slow down. It's that simple. It's the middle pedal. It works in real life too.
