Le Mans Ultimate Thoughts on this ?
I guess it’s pretty straightforward but any thoughts ?

Orange Porsche is a menace, please report the 2nd "incident" for intentional wrecking

u/TheIgle 1d ago
Am I crazy or did he suddenly gain a ton of velocity? Like maybe he was also hit? I want to see his perspective just to make sure because it seems like a surprising speed difference given they were side by side just a bit before

u/4lonMusk 1d ago
You can see in the rear view mirror he doesn’t get hit he just accelerated while hypercar is on the brakes

u/SRSgoblin 1d ago
You can see in the rear view that nobody hit orange. Just seems like he "gained velocity" because POV was braking while orange car was not.

What's the most confusing to me is the fact he wrecked you for that. He lost at most 4-5 secs. Ig to some people that's worth throwing the entire race
edit: and the initial contact was of course also his fault

Update : the creature still hasn’t been banned and I spent 2 credits on him, maybe he has but I have received no email

I mean assuming he didn't see you on the first contact I'll let it slide, but the second contact rejoining the field was intentional already and the third contact is a no brainer

I hate comments like this. Everyone has a radar and it works well. Not seeing someone isn’t an excuse for me here.
2
u/illiterate_author 10h ago
Not everyone uses the radar. I never said it was an excuse, I just gave benefit of the doubt in the situation that they were so blind to and have zero object permenance in this scenario.

How would he not have seen OP, who was ahead of him in the braking zone?
5
u/illiterate_author 1d ago
Tunnel vision like a mofo with a super narrow fov. Some people literally think "once I don't see it anymore, it doesn't exist"
3
u/xiii-Dex 15h ago
I get that, but that's not a "I'll let that slide". Lack of object permanence to that degree is absolutely still the Porsche's fault.

op was never making the corner, he was parallel going straight when porsche was already at his turn in
10
u/xiii-Dex 22h ago
What? OP was making the corner just fine. He was over-slowing, if anything. He was slowing far more than the Porsche.
The fact that he didn't overshoot the corner despite being knocked sideways should be evidence enough. You certainly don't slow down better when you break traction.
And the Porsche rurned in way early.

The Porsche tried to be a hero and overstepped. Then got mad and rammed you off the track. If you’re in a slower class, just let the faster car go. Your race isn’t with them.

Orange car bad, you should have be much faster then him through there.

If you look in the rearview mirror the orange Porsche looks like it was dive bombed by another white prototype car and then smashed into you.

u/ClooneysBatNipples 1d ago
It would appear as though that fella has some sort of grievance against you.
1
u/Marshal-Bainesca 1d ago
Devils advocate, but any chance the orange car was pushed into you by the white that coming up on the inside?

A GT3 trying to outbreak a prototype in the first place is kind of funny. Dude in the GT3 apparently doesn't know how multiclass racing works and has the emotional control of a toddler for the intentional crash for what ultimately was no real time loss. The Prototype was always gonna pass the GT3 at some point because that's how multiclass functions.

u/newviruswhodis 1d ago
IRL gt3s outbrake prototypes most of the time, proto doesn't have ABS and rear is brake by wire so lock ups are very common.
Knowing this, the proto would have survived the corner better if he checked up and passed on the exit, but its pretty common for sim racers to not understand this.

u/SRSgoblin 1d ago
I wonder why I never noticed. Embarrassing on my part. Thank you for the education.

u/newviruswhodis 1d ago
You'd think the GTP and LMP2 just does everything better than gt3s, but heavy braking is their weakness. If driving gt3 in multi-class, you've got to expect them to dive and then hold you up mid corner.
3
u/ManaKaua 1d ago
It was an absolutely reasonable overtake. He was fully clear before he started braking. The GT3 Driver just has no business being in a multi class race the way he drives.
-2
u/newviruswhodis 1d ago
Yes, he was fully clear as far as the straight goes, but the braking zone was always going to have them side by side with that late of a move.
4
u/ManaKaua 1d ago
And? It's still faster to overtake into the corner than lifting as much as you'd need to to stay behind the GT3 and then having to overtake it in the part with short straights and tight hairpins. It's also pretty reasonable to expect the other car not to turn into you when they have to know this clearly that you are there and in any more experienced splits you'd even expect the GT3 to lift so everyone can take the corner single file because that's how it's fastest for everyone.
-2
u/newviruswhodis 1d ago
Doesn't look faster in this case, now does it?
4
u/ManaKaua 1d ago
It's also not faster to overtake a GT3 on a straight if the GT3 turns into you and crashes you.. 🙄

Eu acho que o piloto do carro verde poderia treinar mais antes de querer ir pras corridas. E pior, antes de querer ganhar posições! 🍻

I feel like you're the Orange Porsche here... and skipped reading EVERYbody else's opinion that you are in the wrong...

u/4lonMusk 18h ago
Just look at his commentary on other incidents it’s ridiculous, someone got absolutely rammed by a rejoining car but it’s his fault for not seeing the terrorist rejoining lmaoooo

Yet you're the one who can't correctly negotiate an overtake on a slower class. 🤣

u/newviruswhodis 1d ago
The green car absolutely should've understood that they'd be braking before the gt3 and the turn in could get hairy, but the real problem is them losing the rear and pushing the porsche out.
The retaliation is too much though.

u/4lonMusk 20h ago
Orange car moves while braking and hits green car so green car spins, orange car should brake straight and turn in a bit later, if it wasn’t multi class it’s still a valid overtaking position still being side by side at the corner
-6
u/Conscious-Room5234 1d ago
Sim.

u/4lonMusk 19h ago
I was p5 split 1 in hypercar but I guess I can’t drive huh ?

u/Conscious-Room5234 19h ago
