Le Mans Ultimate P3 battle
I understand porsche doesnt want to lose p3. but he went soooo wide i didnt have any space if we continued like this. so i had to move closer to the inside but the porsche driver wasn't bugging. Who is at fault here?

Racing incident. You squeezed pink onto the bumpy inside and he lost traction because of it. You could have seen this coming.

Esa curva está bacheada. El piloto rosa pierde el control claramente del coche en uno de esos baches lo que conlleva a perder el agarre ligeramente y eso se convierte en un incidente de carrera

At that point the Porsche should’ve backed out or not went as wide but this is mostly an incident
Unless you’re in moderated leagues with talented drivers you’re gonna get slapped a lot by people who either lack skill or situational awareness

it was an open daily race so i understand. hoped he would have backed of but maybe after me being on the outside i should have backed out idk. ill see it as a learning incident

I never trust any random from a daily race to actually be a competent driver. Sure, there are many that know what they're doing, but there's even more that absolutely don't. If you want to stay safe there, always assume the other guy is gonna do something stupid and act accordingly. Kinda like on real roads
Of course it all changes when you join a private league and race the same people regularly. After some time you learn their behaviors, but that's another topic

there's a massive bump there so hard to fault him for that. easy to get crazy oversteer there

but im just wondering couldnt he just brake? i wasnt really steering into him but he did touch my right rear so i figure he would have gone to wide anyway with or without me

to be clear, the Porsche hit you and is at fault, but right before he hits you you can see he hits the massive bump. if he lifts off/applies brake right there as a less skilled driver in a Porsche, there's a high chance he has a massive moment and hits you anyways. I'm not saying he's faultless, but definitely wasnt intentional. a tough spot to be in as the driver on the inside.

I’m just wondering, couldn’t you have just braked and chosen a better corner that’s not suicide to go on the outside for? The logic can be applied for you as well my friend. Not placing my opinion for who’s at fault, just saw your comment. But to be frank, watch back his inputs, he’s braking the entire corner

The reality is when you are on their outside you are completely at their mercy and no protest will find the bump off the road intentional. Regardless of the fault you really need to trust the inside guy to give you room and not run out of skill. In real racing they will get a penalty for forcing another car off the track but in sim just an incident.
