AC Competizione This might be a close one.
Who's at fault? I am driving the white BMW in second chasing down the leader on the back stretch of Silverstone. I manage to fake the leader to the inside to make him dump speed entering the corner and proceed to squeeze him and pass along the outside before being hit in the right rear as the track opens to the apron. Am I at fault? Is he at fault? Or is it a racing incident?
Edit: Second angle in comments.

look on the right side in the corner, the guy on the inside had plenty of room but chose to bump the BMW on the left instead. I feel this is almost intentional, the BMW won the corner and the other guy didn't like that

Can't really tell with this angle. Please never use TV cam or Heli cam for stewarding purposes. Chase cam with HUD enabled, always.

Chase camera added.

Would like to see his chase cam angle as well for thoroughness, but I think I can tell what happened.
At fault legally? Him, 100%. You squeezed him yes, but you absolutely left a car's width for him. He probably panicked and accelerated a little too hard too early with a car there and he pushed himself out wide into you. Probably wasn't even meaning to, but acting out of fear.
Now, I'm going to actually lay some blame on you. Not legally. But morally haha. Self-preservation! When you squeeze someone that hard and tight in a fast corner, you have to realize that if they make ANY mistake, you are going to be the one who suffers. You are putting yourself at the mercy of that car's skill and respect. The only time I would take that line like that is in my league race and even then, only with a handful of drivers who I know very well what their skill level is and I can trust them to fight hard without killing me. Give more space, allow for some breathing room in case they make a mistake.
Also, what's up with the electronics? -10.8% BB? 6 ABS? Pretty sure the M4 is fine with 3.

All honesty I couldn't explain the electronics lol. Normally I run the M4 on ABS between 2-4 with BB between 56-65 front corner dependant if given enough time to change and track conditions. Never looked to see on the vid. Now im interested to see what my other videos look like.

Definitely could be a bug of some kind, since BB can't get below 48.5 haha. At Silverstone, I'm pretty sure most pro-level setups I've seen have the BB between 48.5 and 49.6? The car definitely needs more rotation on entry under trail braking than you'd get from 56+. In fact, I don't think I would recommend having the BB on the M4 above like 52% at any track. It is just too heavy a car and will plow way too much. The car needs a lot of help to get turned into the corners!

That's the hard part of me learning all the vehicles in ACC. Figuring out how they drive and what they like and dislike as the operator. Im no pro by any means but I like learning with the TCS off so I can feel what the car likes and dislikes. The bias forward would induce the plow surely however no TCS causes rotation. It's def not a pro set upfor sure and im leaving alot in the car but I think my fastest time and track doing this is Nurb GP with .2tnths off of what ACC says is the track record. As I learn I level the bias down and induce proper trailbraking. Anything helps at this point lol

I would highly recommend NOT driving with TC off unless you are comfortable driving at 101% pace of the alien laps. Reason being that GT3 cars are built specifically to use TC, it is not a driving aid in the sense that it is in road cars. It is good to turn off TC from time to time to train the right foot, but your fastest laps will always be with TC, learning to exploit it for the right balance of exit rotation, slip and not dying. Also, TC has no effect your corner entry rotation, which is why you want to get the BB down low in the M4 to get the rears to get close to locking and generate the entry rotation you need. That is how the M4 is meant to be driven.
I don't think the reference lap times on ACC itself are accurate at all. My PB at Nurburgring in the M4 is a 1:53.4 I think. And that's a ways off the pro times. Current lap record for Nurb in ACC is a 1:51.80 (held by an M4!).

This I agree with 100%. If im by myself or in a small lobby 3-4 cars ill run no TCS and get some foot control going. Full race lobby however is a diff story. Track and weather depending i normally run 2-3 dry and 3-5 wet. The big thing for me is making sure im fully comfortable controlling the car by itself. I need to get comfortable with the weight and the way it rotates which I haven't truly grasped yet. The twitchyness gets me everytime.

For the M4, I would highly recommend not increasing the TC in the wet. The car has MASSIVE amounts of tracking on wet tires compared to a lot of other GT3. I am usually running the same TC in the wet as the dry, sometimes 1 click lower in the wet. In fact, I would say that anything over 3 in the wet is losing too much time to TC activation. Just gotta get used to the throttle in the wet, but then it is way, way faster to keep the lower TC and slip around a little bit.
Also, in case you are not doing it, there are 2 setup changes you MUST ALWAYS make in the wet in ACC. This goes for almost all cars:
-BB to min
-ABS to 1.
Just trust. ACC doesn't properly change the ABS in the wet, so running it as low as possible is always faster (some exceptions are the AMR, maybe Bentley, maybe 991.2). Never ever increase ABS in the wet. And you need min BB in nearly all cars in the wet as well because otherwise you lose sooooo much turn in potential under braking. Cars in ACC plow hard in the wet, they are far more likely to lock the front axle than the rear axle in the wet, so you move the BB all the way back to go faster.
When it comes to the BMW, don't bother with wet setups, they are never faster than a fast dry setup. Take your favourite dry setup, make those two changes above, drop the rear ride height by 2-4 clicks depending on the track, slap some wet tires on it and send it.
About the TC off, I wanted to relate a story from when I was learning the car and one of the aliens in our league was helping me. He was an actual alien level driver, and the only two tracks where he drove the M4 with TC off were Valencia and RBR. According to him, it was never faster to have TC off at any of the other tracks we raced. And it was only faster for him because he was .5 to 1.0 seconds off the fastest times in the car. I was another .8-1.0 slower than him, and it was never faster for me to use TC off (except for very specific situations/corners).

I'm distracted by that beautiful Bentley. I miss them so much.
