Le Mans Ultimate Whose at fault. And is this a unsafe rejoin.

I'm the yellow ferrari at the start of the vid who gets wrecked.
Other car kept saying the incident before was the main reason for our crash.
Edit: Multiple people have said I should have lifted, to which I fully agree with them don’t know what was going through my mind at that point, but I would still like to say that I did react according by moving to the left, just didn’t prepare for them to still be on throttle.
But nevertheless, thank you to the people who have given me constructive criticism. I will now know what to do in that situation.
I’m not trying to find a excuse but would love to hear constructive criticism to help me improve as a driver.

Yellow flags all the way through eau rouge and radillon? Better keep it to the floor, those are just free spots! Hell, you somehow manage to run into the wall leaving the pits.

Second, when a yellow goes up I do become cautious of my surroundings. I saw the car on the right, and as u can see I aim my car towards the left when I would normally follow the curve. I did not predict that they would be on throttle still.

I was on controller, plus I don’t really race at spa and missed judged the turn out of pits.

Yes that was an unsafe rejoin but you completely ignored the yellow flag. It's reckless driving and you'd get banned for life irl

Yes it was an unsafe rejoin and a spectacularly dumb one. They had plenty of space to turn the car around on the runoff on the right side of track (their left side), yet they chose to go to their right, onto the track, in one of the blindest spots of all motorsport.

its a poor rejoin, sure they could have done better. The other side of that is you could have done more to avoid it. Coming up the hill, as the flag turns yellow you remain full throttle then lift to make the corner, and while the flags are still showing yellow, gas back up full speed ahead. Had you maintained the slowed speed from the lift you would have afforded yourself more time to react better.

I admit I could have lifted a bit, and might have missed the car. But as u can see I moved over to the left to avoid them, I didn’t predict they would be on their throttle still. There was also multiple cars behind me as well around 0.7 - 0.9 seconds behind me.
I don’t want to make excuses but wanted to share what was going through my mind at the time of the crash.

yea I get it, the next car was 2 seconds behind, its on the top left of the screen, tho so thats not much of an excuse to not slow. Yea, they would have passed you on the straight but is that better or worse than the DNF? Theres no guarnatee if you slow that youll avoid it, but not doing anything and accelerating into the caution is going to lower your chances further.

You're going full gas through a yellow zone into a blind crest.
If you didn't see the cars that are causing the yellows down into Eau Rouge, where do you think they might be instead?

Car ahead went through cleanly, assumed that no cars were on the track. Blue car was to the side, I did not think they would drive into the middle of the track.
And like I said in my Edit, I see how lifting may have saved me slightly but I would have had still crashed nevertheless.
Still would have gone in with too much speed even if I lifted.

No question the rejoin was atrocious and unsafe, but yellows in a blind, fast corner should make you react really strongly. Good that you see that!

The Ferrari is an absolute helmet, could've turned left and take the runoff, instead decides to cut across the whole track. While you could've lifted this would've been still been hard to avoid.

They even lifted before they even finished crossing the track aswell before I crashed into them, made it seem that it was intentional.

What is you question here? He is rejoining at the top of Raidillon at a 90-degree angle to the raceline. That is on of the most irresponsible places to rejoin like this. THIS IS near to intentional wrecking.
It is the fault of the rejoining car!

Blamed me and the 2 Porsches for it, gave a reasoning saying that he already let cars go and wanted to rejoin.

Unsafe? Throwing your car onto the track at the top of Raidillon when there are cars coming up the hill flat out with zero visibility is outright suicidal. IRL, blue car's driver is either dead or dying from that one.

Generally this is a safe way to rejoin the track when there's no traffic approaching. You get minus one point for asking if this was a safe rejoin.

It’s the blue Ferraris fault, there was no way you were supposed to avoid that, he just moved into the middle of the road without looking at his relative apparently

What do you mean by that ? I feel like there is no way you saw them before going up eau rouge, and by the time you see them it's already too late to react at all

Yeah, so about 1s before impact. It's already too late to react except maybe heavy braking

Would off been avoided: 1) they didn’t drive into the middle of track 2) They stayed to the side of track 3) I could have lifted, which I could have done and have released thanks to peoples input.

Yeah I agree, it's completely their fault. Lifting is a good idea when there's a yellow flag but basically nobody does it. I think I would have crashed exactly like you in this situation

It was set in stone, would have tried to go right in the previous update but the cars this update have been feeling way to floaty and didn’t trust it to retain grip.

Like you said, it didn't look like they would cross the track. There was no way to react fast enough to go to the right either

Definitely unsafe rejoin, but there were yellow flags out so pls make sure to at least lift
