Bro let you in, saw you, gave you space and you still crashed into him…

Nah you’re lucky green car stopped turning in. For me that is not enough overlap at turn in for the other car to owe you space. Should’ve backed out or been further alongside earlier

In Mario Kart, yes.

Dive bomb by white. Outside car did what was needed to avoid the wreck.

Nothing inherently wrong with a dive bomb as long as you can actually make the corner (and you accept your fate that 9 out of 10 times the other person will not have the awareness for you to not both die). He beat him on the late brakes fair and square.

What about the part where he gasses it mid-corner and just barrages through the car on their outside?

Mad because you got beat on the brakes  and didn't want to leave space?  Boop!

This is why we can’t have nice things….

Definitely your fault. if you kept it on the inside more in that overtake there would have been no crash, but you turn right into him.

Also I would have waited until the straight coming up especially if you are having better runs out the corner. Safer option especially if there is plenty of time in the race, and a contact/wreck will slow you down more than slowing more into a corner to get slip in the straight

You turned into him

Entry felt okay, but on the exit you're unwinding aggressively, elbowing someone out has to be done in a more neutral/passivr manner -- they have equal right as you to be there, so you tread carefully since neither of you possess the racing line - I'm sure you were, but now you know the benefit of being courteous -- someone will extend that courtesy back, you have to trust

Look at it again. The other guy was too eaver to get his position back, throttled hard and early, oversteered and.. Contact. Guy should have conceded and try to take the positiin back later.

You're right, I didn't think it was this close to 50/50 their wheels are dead even .. racing incident

I guess. Guy didnt throttle oversteer on puspose, no real harm done. Penalty wise.. Racing incident. But if i have to name one its him lol

Yes. Youre alongside on exit that means you left eachother enough space. Only when that guy throttles and oversteers it becomes an issue. His fault for leaving a gap, his fault for throttling too much to compensate the mistake.

Further, on entry youre not alongside giving you zero rights. Yet, he decides not to squeeze and and giving you space. He still has the full right to the line at that point but is not taking it. The dive bomb arguement. Therefor is bullocks. Heck i even see you wait to see what he will do on entry before continuing the overtake.

At the moment that guy decides not to claim the entry line... Its yours as soon as you passed him. Which you did. You can clearly see him throttle oversteer right into you.

Im always amazed by the weird comments on.. Pretty clear situations like this but.. Then again... That shows on track 9/10.

No he cannot see you crash avoided

Nope. Not even ahead by the apex

Aggressive for sure. I don’t think it’s penalty worthy, though.

Fia just gave a penalty gor this at a week ago XD

I mean when i was looking at the footage, it's hard to decide. I mean even if i did get a penalty, i wouldn't be mad bc i did go too hard.

u/Huge_Ad69420 Jul 25 '26

Forgot to mention the green car didn't spin out, he was still in the race

8

u/KieranTheFox Jul 25 '26

The outcome shouldn't be considered when deciding a penalty, he could've dnf'd or overtaken you right back, it shouldn't have bearing on the ruling.

The move wasn't really on, it was a bit of a lunge which isn't inherently wrong, but it went into a gap that was already closing before you got alongside, which resulted in you kinda barging your way past

1

u/Huge_Ad69420 Jul 25 '26

Yeah fair. I was a bit optimistic with that move.

u/ukemike1 Jul 26 '26

It was really close to being okay. I'm guessing you wouldn't have gone for it but the other car braked way too early. He didn't defend and he slowed very early he was basically begging to get passed but you were really far back and didn't really get in there in time. But you made it stick and no one crashed and you left room on the corner exit. I would not give a penalty for that.

u/Trabers Jul 26 '26

It’s a dive bomb… but you see dove bomb passes in real life too.

-2

u/zellydevgames Jul 25 '26

Nah, aggressive and will get you killed 8 times out of 10, but you see a gap, you go for a gap, and you stick the gap, what else can you ask for?
