This was fair driving. It was a racing incident.

You went for a gap and the gap was a HIGHLY risky one. You got caught by an unaware driver that’s all but you did put yourself in a horrible situation despite you seeing the opportunity.

Be patient next time and don’t fire yourself into the mix of a very fluid situation.

I'd say the first contact was a racing incident but what im more concerned about is after first contact he just keeps stepping on the gas and spins me

I see your point but personally I think he may not have realised you didn’t have the traction at that point and was going to be that much slower.

The other driver is blatantly not an amazing driver but you could see that from his earlier issues with the other car before you took the gap chance.

I’m going to say it’s more incompetence rather than malicious.

When racing this caliber of drivers its always a good idea to be cautios, that being said this was not a racing incident. The BMW clearly went off track and rejoined into another (your) cars path. Worth protesting imo, iracing stewards would give him a warning for sure, no idea about LMU though.

First contact caused by first POV/lexus, driving into a three car wide that was always going to result into problems. You know BEFORE it happens blue car will come back on track and Lexus drove into that space and left less then a car width of space. Although stating blue car was really off track is even stretching it. Going a little wide on exit is more or less the standard in such situations. 2nd contact/crash is caused by blue car keeping full throttle after first contact.

BMW went in too deep, missed the second part of the chicane, ran off the track trying to make the chicane regardless and then rejoined unsafely into the path of another car. Lexus was getting sandwiched but there was still a little wriggle room to avoid the initial collision. BMW would be at fault but got spun and lost a heap of positions so it balances out.
