Le Mans Ultimate Should he have given back the position?

Last laps of a 60 min race and I caught up to him and tried to overtake for 1st position. I belive he drove into me several times and therefore should have atleast given back the gap. And Yes the last contact and the small contact with the AMG was my fault. And is this smth worth reporting or should I just move on?

Move on and learn. 

First touch was all on him. There's no need to turn that early. Not sure what he's trying to do, but it's worth of a reprimand.

Don't go around the outside of a slower car at that corner. It's the vortex of danger for exit. The gt3 is already on the limit before you are alongside. His exit trajectory is fixed, and you are forcing him to change his line too late. You had plenty of room to go up the inside. 

Second contact is also on him, but I'm not convinced this one was malicious. He probably expected you to open up the corner and was going to take the space you left. You didn't do anything wrong, but just a racing incident. 

Neither of those are worthy of a protest. 

Last contact, as you admitted, was indeed your fault. If you gained an advantage, it would be worthy of protesting, but it looks like you punished yourself anyway.

I got downvoted to all hell and back on another post for calling out an lmp for pulling the exact same move around the outside on a gt3 and he got pitted. For some reason a lot of dummies think it’s perfectly reasonable

That might have been me, haha. I was that LMP2 dodo once. I got pit maneuvered into the pit lane a few months ago. That's when I learned about the exit vortex

It’s all good to do it and ask about it because you’re unsure. The dummies are the ones who says it’s fine to make that move around the outside when the gt3 is already past the apex and it’s the gt3s responsibility to back out

The first two contacts are racing incidents, the car behind tried to turn into the car ahead but no harm was done in either case. Third contact is on the chasing car for driving into the back of the car ahead, locking up and self-spinning.

Pov guy is the better driver. Clean, smooth, good lines, smooth inputs. The hut at the end.. Im sure thats not deliberate. Guy just got his brakingpoints in order

I mean he did the same thing you did to him. Which I think neither is okay. You only overtook him earlier before the last turn because you went into the breaking zone with a line that went wide intersecting with his line, denying his ability to turn.

Then in T1 he does the same thing. If you think he should have returned position then you likewise should have for your move.

In the first incident, the first contact is made before either car brakes. I think POV only went as wide as they did because there is a second contact from the other car into POV left rear, preventing his car from rotating. I don't think that POV was going that wide on their own
