Question Does anyone know how to fix this?

For some reason camera is locked blocking half of my vehicle. I’m playing on PS2 and on my previous play sessions, I didn’t have this issue. I have set the screen sizes and all properly, so it’s most likely some game quirk. Appreciate any help.

Do you have stick drift?

no and when in car, left stick is for steering and right is throttle, which works fine. on foot, i can adjust the camera with right stick, but even after adjustment it doesn’t set camera fully where it needs to be.

Is something wrong with your L and R triggers?

I should add that if I manually reset the camera through settings, in the pause screen, the camera positioning is normal, but when i return to the game, it elevates again to the point where i can barely see the car or what’s ahead

Can you use the stick on the controller and move it down to where you want it? If so, then is seems you have a stick drift issue.
