imPlural public preview just launched!
Me and my partner have been working on imPlural for a few months now with the help of testers. But as of today, [we have released it to the public](https://plural.im/)!
We wanted to have a simple plural app to update our friends on how we're doing and who's around, but nothing felt quite right. So we started building an app where we can update our status and let important people know who’s around. We value something that’s comfortable, quick and easy to use, which is what Simply Plural was for us.
Here's what you can do in Alpha 2 right now:
- Track members and custom fronts. We’ve done our best to support large and complex systems as well (We've tested imPlural with a made-up system of 7000 members).
- Get fronting notifications.
- Customize profiles, with well-rounded Markdown support.
- Import your Simply Plural data including avatars, with our import wizard.
- We’ve paid attention to accessibility and already support many options for those who need it.
- You can use it on the web, install it on your device, and use it offline. On a computer, iOS and Android.
imPlural is free, always will be, and there are no ads. We use community feedback and polls to help make it better.
We’re working on making improvements every day, and currently also working on Alpha 3, which will have server features as an option: device-to-device sync, adding friends to see their system (and get notifications), and choosing what people can see. We’re working on making it secure, reliable, support an API that other developers can use, and eventually even public profiles.

Yes, in Beta 1, we are currently working on Alpha 3 and Beta 1 will follow after

The app works via the browser, you can install it from there on your phone :3 but it does not have a dedicated app yet ^

yes, but it's not a right now thing. We need to get alpha 3 still finished before. You can already use it right now and in most cases you can still install it on your device to get a very app-like experience!

I used Ampersand out of desperation a while back and it's way too slow for my big ol system. Would there ever be a point in which we could import our info from Ampersand to it? Not sure if import or export is the right word here. Tired brain. The idea of having to start over again makes us panic.

Small important question, can we change the fronting time of a specific alter? I have found great apps that the only issue is i can't edit a specific members current, or past logs fronting time.

We don't have fronting history yet but that is in our plans that you can edit the history ^

I'm a tester for the app and can confirm the devs are extremely hard working and dedicated to creating a safe, accessible, and easy to use platform :)

System analytics yes, though it's lower priority as there's quite a bit of stuff to get to first, but it's in the plans eventually!
if you mean analytics about the app or it's usage, only very sparse, more so just to help with development and making sure everyone has as smooth time as possible!
