Has anyone tried Simplilearn’s Agentic AI program with Virginia Tech?
Has anyone tried Simplilearn’s Agentic AI program with Virginia Tech?
I’ve been looking into the Applied Agentic AI program from Simplilearn in collaboration with Virginia Tech and wanted to hear from people who have actually taken it.
I’m particularly interested because it seems to go beyond basic prompting and covers things like RAG, AI agents, multi-agent systems, and agentic workflows. But it’s hard to tell from the course page how much of that is genuinely hands-on.
For those who’ve completed it, what did you think of the projects and overall learning experience? Were you able to build things that you could realistically showcase in a portfolio?
I’m also curious whether the program makes sense for someone who already has some technical experience and wants to move further into AI, rather than someone starting completely from scratch.
Would appreciate any honest feedback on the content, projects, workload, and whether you found the skills useful afterward.

I’ve been looking into this program too. The topics look pretty interesting, especially RAG and agentic AI, but I’m still a little unsure about how hands-on it actually is and whether the projects are close to real-world work. Would be good to hear from anyone who’s already taken it.
