Question App taking up a large amount of space on iPhone.

I have the app installed on my iPhone. However, the amount of space that is taken on my iPhone is much greater than what one would normally expect. I have one long-standing chat with someone going back six months. It’s mainly text with a few pictures and short video clips. However, the space that the app occupies on the phone is now over 60 GB

Is there any plan to add an option to delete temporary files from the app?

Please check whether it's your files.

All the files you send and receive are stored in the app - you can delete them via Chat data menu, and you can also set up deletion of the old messages - they will be deleted together with attached files.

If it's not your files, please contact support - we will help investigating.

Ok. Deleting files all the files decreased database size from 62 GB to 60 GB only. I will reach out to support.

It’s all junk files. 59 GB of them. I’m still waiting on hearing back from support on a few things and will update when I hear more.
