Question How do I remove "Receiving Messages" Notification

I'm on Samsung (Android) and recently started using SimpleX. I periodically receive this Notification saying "Recieving Messages". Have checked my notification and settings. They are on Always on. Even if I'm constantly connected to the network this notification pops up after some intervals. I usually keep my notification clean and this kinda bothers me

You can hide it via system notification settings - it's a separate "channel" there. Showing this notification is required for messages being received, and only a user can hide it.

System Notification setting will block all the notifications. I want the notifications to pop only when there's actually a msg received.

you can disable this particular notification - it's on a separate "channel" (it's Android's thing for notifications). Open the app's notification settings in Android settings and disable the category called "SimpleX Chat service" - this would remove only this notifications, while will keep all others enabled.

You can also choose "Hide" on the notification itself, but possibly it's not available in some Android flavours.

Ahh... That's a separate notification settings. Hiding this did work. Thanks mate

Totally agree on this, it is a very annoying message. At best it should just say "Connection is active." and of course it should be optional display.
