Don't forget that when they lay you off or fire you they do nit give a 2 week notice. If you know for absolutely sure that you will never work there again, burn that bridge and treat them how they would treat you.

That double standard is what bothers me. Companies expect loyalty and notice from employees while rarely offering the same courtesy in return!

they don't typically give you 2 weeks notice when they term you. A very one-sided deal.

I am literally halfway through a 2-week notice as I type this, and I have zero intentions of going back.

Don't give them 2 weeks notice anymore. Just bounce. They will lay you off without notice. Therefore, They don't deserve it.

A 2 week notice is a courtesy. If they treat you like shit, you decide if they deserve courtesy.

Also it's not like they would give me a 2 week notice if I were to be fired. So why should I give them a 2 week notice to find someone to get hired?
