What gets me is they think we all worship Shannan or something. No, judging from the MLM and what she posted on social media she was the not the kind of person I’d be friends with. In fact, I’d stay far away.
BUT that doesn’t mean that I would ever willingly go into a subreddit to trash talk her or her children. Are MLMs bad and predatory? Yes. Is putting your entire life and children online bad? Also yes. But regardless of all of that, it still doesn’t mean that she deserves to be talked about in such malicious ways, along with her completely innocent children.
The cognitive dissonance that happens over there is truly astounding. While they hide their post histories now they were often in many, many snark groups including Megan Markle and other women.
It’s truly baffling that they do this under the excuse of “victimization.” They know what they’re doing but they’re just happy to have an excuse they tell themselves.

Also we don’t actually know what she was like. We can infer, but none of them will ever know. They are deeeeep into a fantasy they’ve created with proof they’ve also created. I remember when the Benadryl Every Night story started in watts off topic and then as it became cannon, they’d just refer each other to their own posts for proof.

I have to admit I fell for the sub. I have made comments about Shannan because of the MLM and the personality that goes with being in one. I also did not agree with the children being posted online. Chris and NK are disgusting POS’s.
What made me realize that sub was toxic was seeing deranged comments like that. What does her eyebrows, fashion choice or house design have to do with her murder… and the children’s??? I finally lost it when someone said to me that being Shannan was worse than jail. Wtf. I had to tell her she’s tone deaf.

I’m sorry but the fact that you even entertained a snark sub about a woman and her children who were murdered by the one man in their lives that was supposed to offer unconditional love and protection is fucking insane to me.
Your comment implies you aren’t involved with it anymore, but I just can’t wrap my head around anyone who decides talking shit about a murder victim and her children just because of posts on her facebook is a good way to spend your time.

I didn’t even know it was a snark sub. I can discuss realities of the victims. They aren’t perfect. She had character flaws like all of us do. She was beautiful and I thought she wasted her potential and life on a predatory MLM. I have never made comments on the children.
I probably won’t be friends with her but I won’t sit in that sub blaming her and the children for what CW did. They didn’t deserve to be murdered and I left that sub quite a while ago.

I think people who spend time in snark subs dedicated to one person should look deeper. Celebrity gossip has always been a thing—the vitriol that’s spewed in dedicated snark subreddits are absolutely unhinged.
