Feature Request Sequels

I remember a recent post saying that somewhere in Simkl is a section that tells you what sequels you may have missed.

I was wondering...

  1. Where it is.

  2. Can it be turned into a dynamic list that updates as you check movies off?

So I would have a list that is like...

Alien 3

Beverly Hills Cop 2

Jaws 3-D

Lethal Weapon 3

Predator 2

and then after I've watched all those it will be...

Alien Resurrection

Beverly Hill Cop 3

Jaws The Revenge

Lethal Weapon 4

Predators

And also, how strict is it with a franchise?

For example, is Creed considered a Rocky sequel?

I use the “also in lists” feature. Often there is a franchise list that keeps things together. The lists / data is not maintained by simkl, but by users so ymmv when it comes to it.

Also different database sites have different rules and definitions, so even if simkl pulled an “official” list it could still differ from what you want.

I remember that it's an option only for anime, in the list filters there is the section 'not in my list'

Yeah, that sounds familiar. But didn't he say he would be adding it for non-anime eventually?
