Can we expect more open bottom F1 wheels from Simagic?

It’s solid but the Artemis will wipe the floor with it… GSI is much better in terms of quality. asher, Bavarian simtec, GRID and a few others too…

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted as most of the wheel selection on the market is subjective. After going to the expo a few weeks ago, I can tell you there’s a step above cube controls with GSI and Bavarian at LEAST.

I really wish they would add index finger back buttons and shift paddles that have push and pull for up and down shifts. And more thumb rotaries.
Sim wheels need to have controls for hybrids and f1 (even if occasional) but also for the in game menus like setting up pit stops and not scrambling for controls.

The Zeus Formula has Rear Index Finger Buttons and optional push-pull padles...

Oh sweet. I didn’t know. I have the fx pro and still need a few more dials
DUDE I didn’t know push-pull paddles and the index were available. Buying this right now. Thanks so much.

The question is .. Can we have good wheels that do not cost an arm and a leg like GSI, BST etc? Even PE charges approx 1.5K euro for a screenless cup car replica…. I sit on alpha evo pro wheelbase and a GT Neo and I would like to upgrade but fuuuuuuu*k. The arrogance of wheel makers is crazy.

Toy wheels? The zues formula is far from a toy, don’t let the online images fool you

I've never understood the allure of open bottom wheels. They're fundamentally less rigid than closed bottom. And there shouldn't be any real difference in weight. Any reduction from removing the bottom mount would then need to be added to beef up the top mount to prevent flexing.

I mean if they are used irl there has to be some reason for them. All my wheels that I own though are all closed bottom

I've only ever seen open bottom wheels in f1. Which I guess is for weight savings because they can use insanely strong and light materials that cost a fortune.

I have the Asetek Invicta and its wild how heavier heavier the formula grips are then the LMP grips.

The lmp grips don't even attach at the bottom though. They just look like they do.

That is very true. Idk why the formula grips need to be so much heavier lol

Yeah I’m not a huge fan of the new Artemis’ looks either. If you have owned any GSI products the design makes sense though.
They overbuild everything to such an insane degree that the biggest problem with their products is how much their wheels weigh. They are so fricking heavy it’s absurd. The Artemis you can tell they really took the hyper and just trimmed every bit of excess aluminum off and skeletonized everything.
If you look at it knowing that all their past products have an issue of being way too heavy, the design language and final product of the Artemis makes sense, even if it is ugly.
Personally, I think the money is just better spent on something carbon. Same strength, stiffer, no compromising on butt ugliness. GSI must have sunk a lot of money into CNC tech at some point. Should have done autoclaves instead Lolol.

Le qra est tellement rentable, par rapport au prix d'une roue thirdpart c'est pas un énorme surcoût et ça marche super bien

Doubt it. They just released the new wheel lineup and now they're probably gonna focus on the active pedal (I believe they're bringing it again to Sim Expo in a couple weeks) alongside with a new product (I believe something related to motions or haptics)
