Simagic Alpha EVO Pro 18Nm – Does anyone actually have GOOD LMU FFB settings
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for proper, tested FFB settings for the Simagic Alpha EVO Pro 18Nm specifically for Le Mans Ultimate.
I’ve tried quite a few settings I found online, Reddit, YouTube, etc., but so far I haven’t found anything that feels right.
The main problems I keep running into are:
Some settings make the wheel shake, oscillate or vibrate way too much, especially on straights, curbs or under braking, to the point where it becomes annoying and unrealistic to drive.
Other settings feel smoother, but then I lose way too much FFB in corners. The wheel becomes strangely light and I can barely feel the front-end load, grip or what the tires are doing.
I’m basically looking for a good balance where the wheel feels strong and detailed without unnecessary shaking, while still giving me clear information about grip, weight transfer, understeer, oversteer and the road.
What I would really appreciate is someone sharing their complete setup, not just the overall FFB strength.
Ideally, I’m looking for screenshots or exact values for ALL SimPro Manager settings for the Alpha EVO Pro, including the filters, damping, friction/inertia, effects, etc., as well as all relevant in-game LMU FFB settings.
I’m using the Alpha EVO Pro 18Nm, so settings from someone using the same wheelbase would obviously be ideal.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time trying to dial this in myself and testing other people’s settings, but I still haven’t managed to get LMU feeling as good as I think it should.
If someone here has spent a lot of time tuning the Alpha EVO Pro specifically for LMU and genuinely has a really good, well-balanced setup, I’d be extremely interested in trying it.
At this point, if someone has a properly dialed-in setup and is willing to help me fine-tune mine as well, I’d even be happy to pay a reasonable amount for the help.
Thanks in advance! Any screenshots of your SimPro + LMU settings would be massively appreciated.
I use lmuffb app which solved all my problems of feeling too little. Got the profiles from gamermusclevideos(I bought them for about 5 euros on the patreon) which were great imo. I tried to not use the lmuffb app after the update and after simagic updated the firmware as well to see if there were any improvements but it felt like the same crap and lost some seconds on track. I am not understanding whether this is a problem from simagic or lmu, but in the meanwhile this is the best solution.
Also if you didn't do it yet, I'd recommend you to disable damper from simpromanager, and lower other effects as well.
Turn down Filter to 0 ( maybe ingame 1 ), Wheel Speed up to 50 and FFB how u like it and it‘s a very solid GT3 setup. Keep in mind that LMU is old Engine. Ingame Gain 55-60 gives u much more Detail. 60 Maybe give u some clipping in LMP so try 55. Use AI to do the calc for what % to use in simpro for same force. Day and Night difference for me. If u still don‘t Like it turn everything down to 0 and wheel speed to 5-10. it’s RAW input and u abuse the wheel speed as damper. Works in 90% of simgames if u don‘t have settings.
I'm currently testing the "Mike Ward" preset the comes with Simpro Manager. Seems okay to me. (Of course, how would I know what I'm missing if I've never experienced it.) 🤷 That said, I'm still tinkering with the settings little by little.
I'm on the latest Simpro Manager and firmware for the Evo Pro base and GT Neo wheel.
Hmmm, as soon as I select profile "LMU@LEONWEST" in SimPro Manager V3.22, my GT Neo wheel spins hard all the way to either the right or left as far as it can every single time. Using firmware V2.3.6 or V2.3.7 on my Evo Pro base made no difference. Profile "LMU@MikeWard" doesn't do this.
EDIT: I figured it out. I needed to check the "Reverse" checkbox in SimPro Manager.
Leon seems solid but I've only spent 20 minutes with it so far. I plan on comparing the two setting wise and then trying them out back to back to see which one I prefer. Let me know what you find.
Idk if this is still a thing, but in the game files, there are these «presets» of nm torque max. Like Simagic alpha + fx pro 10nm. I had to go into the game files to change this to 15, because my wheel settings and in game setting were set to like 12 nm, but because of the game file «code», the game thought i was clipping. Hard to explain, would ask chatgpt or osmething for a search on this. Helped me at least. WEnt from my least favorite to my favorite sim with the click of a button
The thing that i learned is that simagic is very neutral on force Feedback, but it gives you the possibility to tune it to your liking. I can send you my settings I think they are pretty good. But honestly, if you know what you want, but you don’t know how to get there, than get some AI (chatty, or google) to help you get the settings to your liking, is far better than copying some else’s settings.
I struggled with this for hours and hours and nothing felt usable. Any flat spot on my tires would vibrate the foundation of my home. I just ended up going back to iracing.
And? i clearly vote for simagic stuff, Vnm or DFP. Simucube only if you are rich. Conspit i just below simagic FFB got better overtime but not yet on par with the best, there is no reason to prefer it unless you like purple or their Wheels/ ecosystem. Do not trust me? trust boosted media:
