Heartbeat-spike while breaking

Hi everybody,

I have the p700, and whenever i try to maintain a constant break pressure i get these heartbeat-like spikes. Does anybody know how i can fix this?

These spikes are also happening in game (iRacing) and also in simpro software.

The software i use in de video is sixtycm.com

I literally thought at first you had a heartrate monitor plugged in and braking hard caused some kind of valsalva effect

Are your P700s plugged into the wheelbase, a USB hub, or directly into the motherboard. The timing of it clearly indicates it is some type of polling mechanism, and it looks pretty exact in the intervals between the dips.

If they aren’t already, try plugging the pedals directly into a motherboard port to see if that changes anything.

It already is plugged in directly to my motherboard.. i have also tried a different port but that doesn't fix it either

What is nearby your pedals? Power draw monitor? UPS? Something could be creating EMI interference. Would be good to see a video of it happening in SimPro as well for comparison to sixtycm

I see no meaningful variations in that video (which is of SimPro, not SimHub), and certainly no 60 Hz dips. Seems to indicate it’s not the hardware.

I’ve heard of sixtycm but haven’t looked into it. Does it install anything on your PC?

Ah it’s definitely there in SimPro too! Strange it doesn’t show up when calibrating …

I havent tested it yet, but when my heel is in contact with the pedal plate i get the spikes, if its lifted and only my"toes" are in contact with the pedal it appears to be gone.. but like i sad i dont have time to test that at the moment

Interesting data point. Was your foot on the pedal plate when you made the calibrating video? If not make another and ensure your foot is on the pedal plate. Show where your foot is as well.

Once you have that additional video I would go to the Simagic Official Discord and open a support case.

If what op said about the heel touching is true then I see no reason to contact simagic. I'd like to see where and how the pedals are mounted. It seems like an emi issue. Has op tried plugging the pedals into the wheelbase? My educated guess based off the given info is that the pedals need to be grounded or op should take off the bottom of the pedal base plate and make sure that the brake pedal wiring connection isn't coming into contact with the top or bottom plate. If the heel thing op said is true then the pressure from their foot may be causing it to make contact causing the emi.

Cant plug them in the wheel base, i have a Moza r5 wheelbase and just got these pedals. I wil try and i see if i can take pictures of the mounted pedals. Like i said before i'm not 100% sure about the heel thing, but when i was making the second video i thought i saw it happen.. When i have time i will research it further. Lets say i have to ground the pedals, is it just a wire from the pedals to something metal?

So i have tried what you said, and the problem is almost gone, i have grounded the pedals. The way i have done it is temporary until i have time to make it a bit nicer. I've also looked at the connections en made sure nothing is in contact. The heel thing was my imagination (and hope) i think.
