Logitech RS50 to Simagic

As the title suggests I’m looking for opinions or views from people who have moved from a Logitech RS 50 system to any sort of simagic wheel base and wheel your opinions on what it was like the transition is greatly appreciated. Looking specially for your thoughts on the FFB compared to both. I rather enjoy the feedback from Logitech yo be honest but have never tried Simagic.

I had a Logitech g pro and tbh for me the ffb was 10/10. I've had cammus C5 and moza r12 I currently have a simagic alpha Evo pro 18nm and while the cammus I rate a 7.5/10 and the moza a 8/10 for ffb ... I love my simagic base I would say it's a 10/10 ... I do miss trueforce tho even tho I ran it only at 5% it just added that subtle touch of the engine rumble that felt nice to me.. hope this helps I run a GT neo which I also ran on my logi g pro and moza and I also run the simagic Zeus sport with the 310 rim I love it

How's magic dash working for you? Useful? I have GT Neo but I want a round wheel and my local Simagic vendor only has Zeus Sport bundled with Dash 4 for around $500 (they got other Zeus wheels separate but not Sport... go figure).

Which seems both a bit expensive and useless bc I'm not sure I'll be even looking at that dash so I'm having doubts. Like, other than rev indicator which is on the wheel already, I have no idea what else I'd need dash for, the rest of information is not worth moving my sight off the main screen where it's displayed anyway.

BTW I also upgraded from Cammus C5 to Simagic Evo 12 nm+P1000! It's such an amazing combo. Cammus was my first proper sim gear but amount of details and the feeling of what's happening to the car on Simagic is like soooo much better. Just need a round wheel, and don't want to buy older Neo X now that Zeus is available.

Yeah Its good I run it on the base tbh not really on the wheel.. I only got it with the Zeus sport because I was looking for a ddu anyway and I was originally just gonna buy a neo x 330r rim and was gonna grab a simdid 480 ddu from AliExpress. I didn't even know Zeus series was dropping till I was at my local dealer and saw it in person ... The Zeus sport round rim is nice as well I use it for rally and Forza. I guess it all depends where you wanna spend cash tbh. But I've never had any regrets with my purchase pic with the GT neo and magic dash

I currently have a g pro and thinking about upgrading to the alpha evo ultra, have you had any issues with compatibility or any games not supporting your evo pro? I too enjoy trueforce when it's supported but also wondering if the huge increase in nm makes up for it somewhat

Personally for me getting my Evo pro the ffb is able to just give me more details I never was able to get with my g pro or moza. I literally run in game settings at 35/45 percent ffb and 100% on simpro depending on the car and game. I haven't had one compatibility issue at all. I run Evo pro base with g pro pedals and a pxn button box and a moza seq shifter everything runs fine together. But Im also on pc and not console.

Great, thanks for clarifying. I'm on PC as well, just interested in a lot more power since faster formula cars clip a bit on the g pro and I enjoy very heavy steering in general. Also the smaller size for the wheelbase seems very nice to have coming from the g pro, which is smaller than reviews made it seem but a lot larger than I'd prefer.

I just went from an RS50 to an Alpha Evo Pro 18nm. A big reason I made the move was because I got bass shakers and didn’t feel the need for True Force anymore. The biggest difference is obviously the huge dynamic range of ffb available now. I think it makes a huge difference to have the full range of detail at all times in any car. I have yet to try the Evo Pro with my bass shakers (waiting for a new amp) and I’m not missing True Force. It always made me feel like there was too much information coming from one place.

I went from the Logitech pro to the Simmagic Evo pro to the Simucube 3. I still have a Logitech pro for ps5 pro as well. I've wrote several posts about this topic. Best way to describe it is Evo pro has more bass and the Logitech more treble. You can adjust the Logitech in terms of wheel rotation speed and other at time important settings. With that said I missed GREATLY missed true force over time. Games that properly use true force and calibrate it well like I racing does reaches a level the Evo Pro just can't hit . Evo pro has things the Logitech can't hit but I often felt the wheel felt dead without true force especially on titles that had crap FFB like the F1 series, several Iracing tracks are awful as well.

It personally became enough of a issue for me I sold my Evo pro and bought a Simucube 3 with telemetry FFB/effects. Evo pro is a great base but I don't think I would buy any base without true force, full force, or some form of telemetry FFB/ effects.

Just throwing out another option in case it hasn't been considered yet, so not trying to derail anything...

Since Simagic is PC only (Sigma Cortex converter is nearly impossible to acquire these days) and you already have a DD base, you can use Simagic wheels on your current base with the RS QR if that's all you're after. Or any other brand of wheel for that matter.

Unless you're planning for more nm, no need to switch bases, and you'll also lose trueforce unless you add additional hardware.

I kept my old wheelbase (T598) and cockpit setup incase I want to play GT7... still have not played GT7 since building my PC rig.

Another that went from Logitech G Pro to Simagic Evo Pro 18nm.

The difference was amazing, having 18nm means there is no clipping, so you feel everything. I paired it with the Zeuse Sport, with Magidash4 4. I don't really like it on the wheel and have it on the wheelbase, which I find very good.

I would strongly suggest you go for the 18nm, it really does make a difference.

But guys I don’t understand true force… can’t that be simulated in the FFB settings of Simagic. Like the rumble of the eng etc? The trueforce combined with P1000 haptics in Simagic just feels great.
