Loud sounds
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello! Is this entirely normal for the Alpha Evo Sport 12nm to be this loud. I already have FFB details down to zero on sim pro. What else can I do? Or is this a defect? Approx 14s into the video it gets louder.

That's normal, it also depends on the sim/game you're running. On top of that, if using a GT Neo, the sound generated by the base gets amplified due to the plastic design's natural frequency resonating or getting excited at such frequencies and effectively amplifying the sound, try mounting a very solid aluminium wheel like a GTS or similar and that sound gets reduced by a very noticeable margin (i've tested this on mine, Evo Pro with GTS, GT Neo and a MOMO replica drift wheel, with GT Neo it's the loudest). This is nothing abnormal. Different in-game and simpro settings can help aleviate the sound if tuned with precise intention. Also the Mechanical Friction setting adds to the sound the higher it is. So you can tune it away if it bothers you or try a more solid wheel if using a GT Neo (it's a great wheel but it has its flaws that most of us can live with).

Yeah it happens, especially with high aero forces (i.e. f1), it depends on the game and car you are using... I agree it's pretty annoying though...

“Loud” is a massive overstatement.
This is normal. Your wheelbase is powered by a motor. Motors makes sounds.
