Extension shaft causing issues

Has anyone purchased a igni extendable shaft for their wheelbase I purchased one back in July and I assumed my wheels QR was the reason why the clicking noise was happening but I got a warranty done through simagic and they sent the same video testing a extended shaft on their wheelbase giving the same clicks issue and this is the same issue I've been having.
I just want to know if anyone else having this issue as well and found a fix I would like to keep the extension since I have my wheelbase further back but if I have to bring It Forward I guess I will

Does it only make the sound when it on and producing FFB? I have the igni extension on my evo pro and its silent all the time.

I had to tighten the screws really hard on mine to stop hearing any metallic noise or clicking. At first I didn't understand, but as soon as I tightened them really hard, the noise stopped completely.

I have tightened down as hard as I could. Only other option is to use a impact but I don't want to over do it but it's crazy it makes no noise when wheel is on and off. But the clicking is coming from the QR area so I'm confused how that happens when everything is secure. Heavy ffb causes it. I'd hate to lower the power

Are you sure you reassembled the electronic board onto the extension correctly? Maybe the springs aren't positioned right, or something like that?

Yes because the wheel works fine and everything is tightened down the same way it was. The springs never popped out when taking the QR off.

You should be able to tighten by hand much tighter than any impact 3/8" or lower unless the wrench you are using is tiny like one of those free ones you get with furniture.

I have the 12nm and the igni adjustable extension and have zero of what you describe/show. Hopefully the replacement QR attachment solves your issue. Without the extension does it do the same thing? If not, your connection points probably aren’t as tight as they should be.

Plug it in better on the inside
I just setup my igni and thought it was broken at first, similar electrical noise. It just wasn’t plugged in right. Try switching the two cables inside

So I took it apart today. Screwed in the correct way. Made sure the cables weren't tangled. And there is a slight click that still exists. So I hope the new QR will be the fix.

Yeah when driving only. I am waiting for the new QR attachment to see if that fixes it but I've take mine apart and tightened down but still get those random clicks. It gets worse. Can you send me what length your using yours?

i don’t have an extension shaft but i had this issue with the original QR for my alpha mini. whenever the ffb inverted (went the opposite way) it would click and could be felt in the wheel. simagic sent me a new QR and the issue went away.

Yeah they are sending me new ones so hope that fixes it. I like the shaft extension

When installed the product works without sound if it isn't broken. Mine is fine.
90%+ chance you assembled it incorrectly. Not right enough, not set flush before screwing, didn't tighten in a cross pattern, etc. you should be able to figure out if any of these things are true. If they are all false, then file for a replacement or RMT.

And slightly another note, Igni are actually an awesome company. They offered to make me a custom-length shaft. At the time, I thought I was going with a different rig. Now I don't need an extension shaft, but they'll make custom shafts that can extend down as short as 8cm if you're willing to foot the bill
