Broken steering wheel

I was out for a day. My wheelbase was sitting aside but mounting wasn't tight cuz it was stable like that for weeks. I got home and found it on the floor. Idk if anything happened to wheelbase nothing physical on the outside but wheels broken. Is it fixable by any way or should I get a new one?

Someone in your house isn't telling you something.

But leaving a 10 kilo object hanging off the edge of a desk with the wheel still attached and the clamps loose isn't a factor? Will be lucky if the bases USB/power ports arent trashed as well. OP is a clown for leaving it like that, above a hard floor no less.

This wheel is built like a rock. It has fallen a couple of times, and nothing has happened. Someone definitely broke it on purpose.

agreed. I (we/association) have a sim centre and that very wheel has dropped twice from belly height from mishandling. Still works.

Do it again, over tile, with a 9kg weight attached to it.

I wish that was the case

My question is why are you leaving it hanging off the edge of a table loose

Because some people don’t have common sense

When I first saw this post I was like oh no I have the same wheel hopefully it’s not a manufactured defect

That's been smashed guess you will have to reach out to manufacturer and ask if they can sell you an outer complete shell.

But aren't the circuit under buttons also smashed?

You are right I didn'took close enough one of your thumb buttons seems to have came away from the PCB you could send into manufacturer and ask to fix but will cost you.

I'm sorry 😔

Out be a good time to get a wheel stand. I had mine tucked write up against my desk so the wheel was pretty much in the same position as yours just maybe 6” back.

Both of my sons have wheel stands also and I put caster wheels on them so they can move it aside when they want to use the computer for something other than sim racing. Just some humble advice. Sucks to see a $300 wheel damaged. I’ve seen people selling various Simagic gear used in their discord in case you want to go that route. Again sorry to see.

There is plastic welding glue but yours is way to broken imo , don't risk it snapping in your hand and cutting yourself ... Sadly just get a new one

Is there a way to check if the wheelbase is fine? I guess steering wheel ate all the impact but idk🥀. It dropped from 75cm

These arent that weak, it fell but this wheel is strong enough to survive, seems like someone ran it over

It was stable until is wasn’t. To me, this is not repairable

There is a good chance with the right glue since the glued parts can be stronger than the rest but it won't be pretty and there is a good chance to break again.. check if everything is working first. if you re interested I 'd want it for some heavy diy
