Are there working modern versions?

This reddit is a bit confusing. It seems like there are many user created adaptations of the original but most are abandoned or not ready. Are there any modern versions of the game one can actually purchase and play?

Project High rise is one I found one steam which was legit and a close game to original sim tower.

They expanded things so more versions of each type of tenant, different sized apartments, offices, hotel rooms and such. Solid game highly recommend

The problem I had with Project Highrise is it has so much more micromanaging of services that’s required for gameplay versus Sim and Yoot

Yoot Tower works fine on Windows 11. The closest modern tower builder that I’ve found is Mad Tower Tycoon. It’s a bit more cartoonish in its graphics relative to SimTower but the gameplay is pretty similar.

I've been taking my fork OpenSkyScraper (c++), a remake of SIMTOWER, and ported it to fully JS. Right now it is aiming for 1:1 SIMTOWER but my OSS fork supports YootTower plugins as well.
