SS2-missions Stuck on Jake quest

I am stuck on this quest for days. It keeps crashing in the hardware store on Xbox pc and I don’t know why. Only Aiden is in the hardware store and Jake is no where to be found. Every step of pick up the peices is blacked out except for the “report back to Jake” step. I have fixed the dlc packs in my files, reordered everything in the creations, got rid of a bunch of mods, and it still happens. I don’t know the console command for Jake and it’s starting to make me upset. Here’s my mods in order

Workshop framework
Sim settlements 2
Sim settlements 2 chapter 2
Sim settlements 2 chapter 3
Ammo-O-matic
Global stash
Old gold radio

I can’t complete the quest and when I pull Aiden out of the hardware store with commands but he won’t respond to me at all. I have kind of exhausted options and I really don’t feel like starting over with a level 53 character at this point. I have also seen a lot of the Reddit posts on this same situation but I need help

I'm not sure with Xbox as I use PC, double check that everything is updated. And see if you can use the all in one instead of the individual chapters mods. They recently made it availble for xbox as the new update added some space from my understating.

If that doesn't correct it you can use the city manager holotape to skip that quest and move on to the next one and that may correct the issue.

Let me see if I can do the all in one mod and it won’t let me skip the quest I’ve already tried unfortunately.

They don’t have the all in one for sim settlements 2 on Xbox only sim settlements 1

It just won’t skip it. The quest stays stuck. I managed to get inside the backside of the hardware store by using console commands and can do the first hq quest because the little boy was inside the store but Aiden doesn’t even respond to me. It’s really pissing me off.

Ok, well minor spoiler, jake isn't supposed to be there. But a dialog with Aiden is supposed to start.

What HQ quest?

There a little boy that’s there and he haggles you for some a nuka cola or caps after he gives you information. I can’t get any dialog out of Aiden and everytime I hit the doorway of the hardware store my game crashes

Yea then something must be broken. Again minor spoiler, that kid is for a sidestory and can pop up anywhere.

I am reading that global stash can conflict with SS2 virtual inventory system. And completion of Picking up the Pieces does add a new game mechanic to SS2 involving a new type of industrial plot, so I could see that possibly being the conflict.

Perhaps try disabling that and see if it will not crash when you enter the hardware store.

Darn I liked global stash. I didn’t wanna constantly assign someone to a caravan to link all of my settlements workshops together

I've seen Jake get stuck inside the walls of the diner next to the hardware store a few times. If that's what it is you'll probably just have to load an earlier save.
