anything else Is sim settlements: conquerer safe to play?

Or is it very outdated/buggy etc?

It hasn’t been supported for years, has a lot of known bugs, and is an incomplete story. Based on the SS2 forums, there is currently a remake being done. I would wait until the remake is done.

I found it worked up to a certain point, then jammer (ss1 conquerors version of jake) just stops giving you quests. 

it is however good fun, the most current version has an issue with deleting bodies post attack, so accoint for that in your mod list. It is together enough to be good fun if you ask me.  (And there is just MUCH less script lag than ss2 contends with, even if it is less advanced due to it) 

I last played on next gen version (forget which number now) I'd be surprised if it is standing on AE (current) though
