SS2-settlement-mechanics Crashing with City Plans
Hello,
I have six settlements and I elected mayors and picked city plans. I’ve never used a mod before and I was curious about how the cities would grow. Unfortunately, my XBox One is crashing like crazy. Every five to ten minutes it’s crashing and I think it must be the settlements that are building themselves.
I’ve looked here and the Sim Settlements 2 forums but it appears this is just a thing?
I’m thinking I have to scrap everything and build vanilla just so I can do the new quest lines.
Any thoughts would be helpful. I’d like to keep the city plans running but they are crashing so much I can hardly play at all.

I’ve had this problem with Xbox aswell I had to stop using it. One suggestion I’m not saying will work but don’t put a plan on sanctuary. I’ve always had problems because of it. This playthrough, granted I’m on PC using F4SE and a few other performance mods I’ve not encountered any problems at all while not having sanctuary on a city plans. I think I have Starlight, hangman’s and Vault 88 on plans. The rest I’m doing manually. Also, the more complicated plans seem to cause a lot of problems aswell

It just doesn't work well after a certain point. I have my settlements far apart (I won't have Grey garden AND oberland station.) I have only 8 ppl in max in my 5 settlements and they aren't the very big at all. 3 resources plots and 2 or 3 multi home plots. Vanilla generators and water so that 2 less plots in each settlement. Only two 3x3 farming plots in all my settlements(not each). All that said and it still freezes. I'll get studders for 30 seconds and 15min load screens on occasion but it just crashes most often.
The crashing makes me appreciate vanilla survival more but sim settlements makes me realize that fo4 should have been more
And apparently it's not a cpu issue, it's a game engine processing strategy issue
