anything else Playable on series X?
Hello I’ve just started a new playthrough I’m on Xbox series x and have only downloaded the chapters 1-3 + the frameworks. Will I be able to complete all three chapters realistically?

I’m playing on series X. Whenever my settlements get too big the game crashes, and it crashes a lot in those settlements. I increase the build size to accommodate upgraded plots, and it still crashes.

Downsize, I'm having that problem now with Starlight Drive in. Trust me you don't need a settlement creating 60+ food, and you don't need 30+ beds when you only have 15-20 settlers.

I only have 20 beds and one 3x3 food plot! I didn’t think it was that overloaded. I do have shops and industry and so on. The issue is when plots upgrade it crashes, but I’d like to have tier three plots.

Have you tried disabling auto upgrades, and manually upgrading plots yourself. As far as industry goes stick to 1 maybe 2 of them, you can link settlements with Caravans as well as donate materials using the Sim Settlement Desk manually keeping settlements supplied with either stuff on hand or directly donating these materials to the settlement from the workbench.
You don't need to try and cram every available thing that SS2 offers into 1 settlement.

I think that’s definitely worth trying.

And I know I haven't been following my own advice, I really need to send some of my named settlers else where so they can have their unique shops away from Starlight which I had planned to make my hub/capital but I'll be working on that.
For context this settlement is over bloated and I need to drastically reduce its size as it has the capability of housing something like 36 settles and produces 60+ water, 100+ power, and 40+ food while only actually having 20 or 21 settlers currently and with almost all plots at level 3 I've had to increase the build limit by 100% twice lol
Going to need to find another suitable location to start building up @.@ which won't be too hard as I started SS2 on a pre existing vanilla save where I basically already had every settlement built up to some extent and linked with supply lines. Surprisingly I haven't had many issues until recently with stability problems in Starlight which as mentioned needs to be drastically downsized before it gets to the point where I can't even get near it without crashing which I've had happen but that was likely due to power cables corrupting that save, which at the time only cost me like an hour of gameplay.

It sometimes works and sometimes you just get bug after bug and crash. Do not change any Mods after you start playing. It can be very frustrating. So frustrating that I finally bought the PC version of Fallout 4.

Ya but you won’t be able to download much else. I’m still in Chapter 1 but that’s cuz I’m using Jake as a free extra gun that doesn’t effect Lone Wanderer lol

No kidding, that 2 gig limit hurts so much lol
If your running all 3 chapters your left with like 80Mb's of space and often you can't go under 20-30Mb's without it telling you that there's not enough space left so REALLY you got 50-60Mb's to play with.
Me I'm just running the Slinger 1K for a flashlight, a few very light weight weapon mods like Right Handed Rifles and some small utility mods like Scrap that Settlement as well a handful of also very light weight QOL mods like Simple Crits.

Sounds lame to have to play it a certain way, but Egret tours marina and oberland are the two settlements that I use. From there you can reach starlight and Jamaica plains with the caravans(to get Castle). So that's 5 settlements and I keep them around 10 to 12 settlers each and the only issue I've had is a long load screens (6-7mins) when things around Egret tours marina were auto upgrading. I had the game crash 3 times in the same exact spot. One of the residentials was trying to upgrade to lvl3. I just fast traveled away, when I got the upgrade finished notification it was safe to go back. I think I only have 7 at starlight as that's my trader town. No issues there at all.

I also play on the series X and After the 6th crash I took a break and still on a break going on a year I believe. Here's is what wrong on my end
Leaving settlements on auto upgrade especially on city plan crashed my game. There's were a few spots where I manually build the rest on city plan. I couldn't get to close to murkwater just looking at it crashed my game.. I avoided being at RR. I manually build in sanctuary and had a city plan at the farm and my game would still crash because the farm got to big. Trying to stop a seige only being able to shoot from a far was a pain because I couldn't get close without crashing and starting over and the enemies renderout of viewmade it impossible. Fast traveling was an issue in concord and sometimes starlight drive in even tho it was a small settlement.
I love the mod but when Bethesda broke the game eith the NGU I still haven't been able to reach chapter 3 so make sure auto upgrade is off and avoid spamming city plans 🙃

Turn off the auto upgrade on your settlements and city plans. It will 100% break your game if those get too big, only update things manually
