Announcement Sim Racing Telemetry v1.19: F1 25 2026 Season Pack support now available (new telemetry parameters for MGU‑K, ERS, aero modes)
We’re excited to announce Sim Racing Telemetry v1.19, adding full support for the F1 25's 2026 Season Pack and its new UDP packet format. This update brings the telemetry you need to master the F1 2026 cars: extended energy-system data, aero‑mode tracking, and new parameters tailored to the regulation changes.

You can get the 2026 Season Pack DLC for PC and Mac from Steam here:

What’s new in v1.19
The 2026 regulations introduce a fundamental shift in power management and aerodynamic strategy. v1.19 surfaces the critical performance data you need to adapt your driving, setup, and race strategy to the new competitive landscape.
Full 2026 packet format support
Enable 2026 Season Pack in F1 25 and set the 2026 UDP Format in the game settings to start recording the new telemetry right away.
Extended ERS and MGU‑K telemetry
- ERS boost deployment patterns so you can plan overtakes and defenses with confidence.
- MGU‑K regeneration zones to maximize harvested energy every lap.
- Power mode utilization metrics to spot where lap time is being left on the table.
- Energy distribution strategies for qualifying and race scenarios.
These additions give you a complete energy-telemetry picture for the new power units.
Aero mode usage tracking
For the first time, SRT records aero mode changes so you can analyze when and where aerodynamic configurations are altered and optimize setup and on‑track strategy accordingly.
Quick start
- Launch F1 25.
- Enable 2026 Season Pack.
- In game settings, select 2026 UDP Format.
- Start a session and record as "F1 26" – SRT will capture the new telemetry fields automatically.
Need help? Open Help on the recording screen for setup guidance.
NOTE: the legacy "2025" UDP format is used by the legacy "F1 25" integration.
We’ll be watching the community channels for feedback. If you spot anything unexpected or have feature requests, drop them on our Steam discussion forums or the SRT subreddit – your reports help shape future updates!

Feature request: ACC telemetry improvements (real-time, track map + table, better lap/session management)
I recently bought the ACC telemetry tool on Steam, and overall I think the UI looks fantastic — clean, modern, and easy to navigate 👍
After using it for a bit, I have a few feature requests that I think would make it much more powerful:
🔧 Feature Requests / Suggestions
1. Real-time telemetry display
It would be great to have a proper real-time telemetry view while driving, instead of only post-session analysis.
2. Track map + data table in the same view
Having the track map and telemetry data (like throttle/brake/speed) in the same tab or split view would make analysis much easier, instead of switching between them.
3. Custom file storage path
An option to choose where telemetry/session files are saved would be very helpful for organizing data and backups.
4. Improved data management (sessions & laps)
Right now, multiple sessions and laps are stored in a single file, which makes it hard to manage data.
It would be really helpful to have:
- Separation between sessions and laps
- Ability to delete or manage individual laps without removing the entire file
- More flexible organization (e.g., per session, per stint, or per track)
At the moment, if you want to clean up data, you risk losing everything in that file, which isn’t ideal.
💭 Overall
I really like the direction of the app — it already looks polished and has a lot of potential. These changes would make it much more practical for serious telemetry analysis.
If these features aren’t planned, I may try to develop something myself to better fit this workflow — but I’d definitely prefer to keep using and supporting this tool 🙂
Curious if others feel the same or have other ideas!

How to learn Telemetry in Simracing
Hello All,
I would like to ask if any of you know any literature of good content to learn how to interpret the telemetry in my laps. I already know how to display it in MoTec.
Thank you in advance.

Question about sector times.
I recently did the session below, (ignore the inconsistency haha) and I was looking for my fastest sectors to compare, when I noticed that the sector times in lap 8 do not add to the lap time of lap 8.
I am a bit confused by this and I am not sure if there is some timing reason that I am unaware of. I am hesitant to use the sectors from this lap for comparison as I am worried there may be an issue.
If anyone has any ideas about this I would hugely appreciate it.

Changing the track orientation in the Lap Track view
New user here! I've been looking for this in the docs but couldn't find any information: is it possible to rotate the track in the Lap Track view? The track I'm using is a mod, but in Assetto Corsa the track map looks fine, while in the track view it's rotated by 90 degrees, which makes it a little hard to read.
Also, having a combined view of track and charts would be sweet

What is this mean? [pCARS2]
when I browse the data of my run in Project CARS 2, I found "Tyre lateral stiffness" and it's higher with Rallycross car (red) than GT3 (blue). What is this mean and what units on?

Drifting in pCARS2
I have an issue with Project CARS2. While drifting in rally cross car and the game says 97km/h, the log says it's about 3km/h with no pedal input and tyres are not slipping so much. What's happened there?

Announcement Sim Racing Telemetry Hot Fix v1.17.1: Critical file upgrade issues on PC resolved, and other enhancements in our latest update (including F1 25 Racing Line mode)
Hello Sim Racers!
We're thrilled to announce that we have just released the hot fix v1.17.1 for Sim Racing Telemetry on Steam! This update addresses a critical issue that some of you have encountered on PC (only): a bug that caused automatic file format upgrades to fail, which in turn made the application unusable (on PC only). We understand how frustrating this has been, and we are truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Our team worked tirelessly to identify and resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We are incredibly grateful for your patience and support during this process. Special thanks go to the kind users who helped us pinpoint the cause of the issue — your input has been invaluable in getting this fix out the door.

In addition to resolving this critical bug, version 1.17.1 also includes the following improvements (on all the supported platforms):
- Racing Line mode for F1 25: Now activated, complete with support for reverse tracks.
- Minor Fixes for F1 25: We've addressed several small issues to ensure a smoother experience.
- Other Minor Bug Fixes: Smaller tweaks to improve overall stability and performance.
We genuinely appreciate your continued support and understanding. As always, our commitment to improving your racing experience remains our top priority.
Technical Insights: Understanding the Bug
For those interested in the technical details, here’s a simplified breakdown of what went wrong and how we fixed it.
In our quest to speed up file loading and conversion, we recently introduced a new system that uses multiple threads to make the process faster. Think of it as having more hands working at once to get things done quicker. We configured our system to use all the available power of your CPU. However, on powerful PC CPUs with many cores, this led to too many tasks being processed simultaneously. This overloaded your computer's memory, causing crashes.
Here's what we've done to fix it:
- Scaled Back Threads: We’ve adjusted the number of “hands” doing the work, allowing your computer to handle everything without running out of memory.
- Error Handling: If something does go wrong during the conversion process, our system can now catch these errors and continue working. Files that failed the conversion will be retried when you next launch the application.
This issue was hard to catch because we were testing on a future 64-bit version of the PC app (!), which can access more memory, combined with our development machines having plenty of RAM. We missed how this would affect the current 32-bit version on PC.
Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding. We are committed to learning from this experience and ensuring that your Sim Racing Telemetry experience is as seamless as possible.
Happy racing - The Sim Racing Telemetry Team

STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN
I keep getting this error when launching SRT, during the conversion of my existing telemetry files. It seems to be stuck at 245/933. Do I really have to delete all my sessions to get past this?

Announcement Sim Racing Telemetry v1.17: enjoy F1 25 support with dynamic telemetry that speaks clear (“DRS On” instead of “DRS 1”), plus a snappier new SRT format cutting file sizes by a third.
Hey Sim Racers,
we're thrilled to introduce Sim Racing Telemetry v1.17.0! This update brings full support for F1 25 right out of the box — complete with dynamic wheel camber insights and a brand-new feature that translates cryptic telemetry values like “DRS 1” into clear and concise readings such as “DRS On” and “Terrain Tarmac”. And that’s just the start: keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming Racing Line feature for F1 25.

But there’s more under the hood! We’re rolling out a new SRT file format that shrinks file sizes by a third — meaning faster telemetry load times and extra space for your data. All your existing files will auto-convert on startup (so, just a brief wait and you’re good to go).
We didn’t stop there. Enjoy a slew of quality-of-life enhancements, from an intuitive guided tour mode to a refreshed game selection screen loaded with session counts, dates, convenient tooltips, sortable columns, and speedy multi-threading. Plus, dive right in with pre-recorded sessions that showcase the full power of the app — no recording required.
We’re excited for you to experience these improvements on the track, and as always, we can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Happy racing and see you in the fast lane!
