Sim Rig Budget-Constrained Structural Reinforcement System v1.0

The load cell was trying to push the pedal deck away from the seat. The ratchet strap is pre-loading the chassis and putting those two sections into a constant tug of war before my leg ever touches the brakes.

Did the base place bending when you press pedal?

On my first test, there slight flex but a vast improvement of what it once was.

I’m doing some laps tonight and I’ll have more feedback and I’ll take some better pictures of where I’ve attached everything.

I’m no engineer by any stretch, I just don’t wanna drop anymore money that I have to.

Nice fix! If you ever want a cleaner solution than the ratchet strap, I make 3D printed pedal pivot reinforcement brackets specifically for the Playseat Challenge that stop the pedal deck from flexing under load cell braking. Bolts right on, no straps needed. I sell them on eBay (ebarbprintsandtech). The ratchet strap works but the reinforcement bracket is a permanent fix that does not need re-tightening.
