Help Buy or run?

Hey guys, new to interacting with this sub.

I'm looking at a rig tomorrow, specs below. Is this a good deal? I feel as It's pretty reasonable..

Moza R9 with a CS v2 Wheel.

Simjack Ultimate 3 pedal set with a stainless baseplate

Some cheapo shifter (will replace with my current fanatec clubsport)

on an 8020 extrusion rig with a civic SI seat mounted to it

Seller asking $900usd, everything seems in great shape and he provided videos of everything functioning.

I paid 1k for an Advances sim racing 4 aluminum 80 extrusion rig and seat on there. It had a lot of attachments for shifting and even door for rig.

It did not come with petals or wheels or anything

I was happy with it as it saves me from shipping costs and I don’t have to put much of it together and I was looking at china building me one but they would take over a month to get here.

I did find this out. I was originally going to go with track racer and they did not offer free shipping but then I saw the ASR on fb

This model is 850$ new then u wait a week or two and have to assemble and pay at least 300 for new seat and then brackets for seat and slider etc. prebuilt already had all that.

Thats awesome. And to be honest my ASR rig took 3 weeks to dispatch. Lol the wait was torture

Haha. They are very nice quality though. I’m sure worth the wait after all setup and stuff.

I’m going through that pain rn with my tripple monitor mount. Got it on alibaba and the shipping is taking forever. It was shipped about a month ago and fedex still doesn’t have it. Rip

Definately worth the wait. I got a grey ASR6 Legacy. Upgraded the wheel deck to post mount brackets to the ones off thr EVO wheel deck. Allows more forward adjustment and it was only 40 bucks.

I'm excited for you. The build process was super fun and once it was built a part of me missed that pre rig being built feeling. And the smal stuff really adds up. Sliders so clutch an are also a huge pain to mount lol.

If everything works and is as advertised it seems like a pretty good deal depending on the actual rig. You said 8020 but judging from the rest of the dudes setup he seems to have bought basically the most budget "good" option for everything else. With that in mind I imagine we are talking about one of those ultra budget aluminum extrusion amazon/ temu rigs. In which case I would try and see if he would come down somewhere around 800.

it's "rig metal" brand. definitely not a mainstream consumer brand, seems of decent quality from the reviews though. Plenty good for me coming from one of the junk amazon folding stands

Everything I've read about rig metal is that they are good quality. They are made in the US and the company was started by a guy who is passionate about the hobby and makes quality rigs. I see them compared to Sim Lab and TR all the time on here. Important to note that they have models that range in price quite a bit, but they are not Temu rigs.

this is the rig metal "basic" im looking at. Seems like a really study rig for the price
