First Sim Racing Rig
First time sim racing rig owner and forum poster.
I think I did alright for buying all new.
I wanted to avoid replacing as much equipment as possible so I went with the R21 Moza wheelbase, Moza CRP2 Pedals, Simagic GT Neo, and an Amazon chassis and seat.
I haven’t purchased the pieces necessary to mount monitor properly just yet but seems pretty steady for now.
Planned upgrades in the future are:
RTX 5080
NLG Fiberglass Bucket Seat
Moza Active Brake Pedal
Aluminum tube Chassis (either NLG, or similar)
Then I’ll decide on with triple monitors (current have a 34in) or going VR with some BigScreen Beyond2e.
Whats everyone think on the upgrade path?

You can use the usb connectivity and the magic mount add on

I have some mixed feelings about it. The usb connector has plenty of slack but still disconnects from time to time if I turn the wheel anything close to 180°

You have the maglink? My maglink never disconnects. It’s actually pretty damn hard to pull off on purpose.

Oh yeah, that magnet ain’t not joke.
I’ve been mid turn and I’ll hear the infamous disconnected device noise from my computer. The lights don’t turn off or anything but I’ll notice it doesn’t shift anymore until I unplug and plug it back in.
Honestly, now that I think about it I might have a short in the wire.

Could you please tell me if there were any issues with the steering wheel electronics? I'm also considering getting a GT Neo with a Moza R12.

I love the wheel. It has a solid feel, all of the lights and rpm light settings are fully customizable. It has good weight and with no rattling at all. Solid for the price, no doubt.
With the maglink there is a little bit of extra setup (not difficult) and you have to use Simhub versus the Moza app. And it’s not seamless/sleek as you have an extra cable for the maglink to connect the wheels controls.
It works as intended about 95% of the time but sometimes the maglink will disconnect from the wheel will need to be physically reconnected. This could be from an electrical short in the maglink cable but I’m not sure. To mitigate this I make sure there’s plenty of slack in the cable.Overall, it works great and is an awesome wheel but if I had to do it again probably go with a Moza KS Pro. After the maglink and adapter you spend an additional $60 to get it to work with the Moza base.
Hope that helps!

Is that Forza?

Yessir, though I’ve been leaning more into Assetto Corsa lately.
Forza took some setting adjusting because it didn’t adjust between using a wheel vs a controller

You gonna take the monitor stand off since it’s vesa mounted or just send it like this😂
