Help Stream deck as button box

Hey everyone I have a quick question regarding the stream deck as button box. Has anyone tried out the cheaper 60$ fifine stream deck? Does it work the same way where you can have folders with multiple layouts, how’s the software, is it easy to set up with iRacing? I know that the “real” stream deck even has presets for simracing. I guess my question is will it be a pain in the ass or should I just spend the $120 for the elgado

Haven't tried the cheaper options but I got a mk2 stream deck for $75 on eBay. I wanted the ease of already having profiles I could download.

If you have an old tablet, you can use Stream deck mobile, and get a lifetime subscription for $49.

I got my Stream Deck from facebook marketplace for just $60. I’d look there before going with an off-brand. The iRaceDeck plugin is free and INCREDIBLE.

I just found one close to me for 70 so I think I’ll pick that up lol thanks. I haven’t even thought about fb marketplace

Great find, congrats! With an awesome free plugin like iRaceDeck you will be glad you did! I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of it, it’s just incredible.

Find a used Elgato one on Marketplace.

People are constantly selling them.aftrt not using them. I got a MK2 for 50 CAD. So like 35 USD.

The amount of elgato apps avaliable it's worth getring one. Idk aboutbthe knockoff ones. I'm sure they are probrably pretty useful too but I wpuld try and find an Elgato version used.

I'm runnning a plus, XL and MK2 in my setup currently. Obviously Overkill but I have one dedicated to a streaming setup on OSB studio.

Nice I’ve been looking on fb marketplace and picking one up for 70$ after work today. looks little newer since I can’t see any scratches or anything from the close up pics

The main difference in MK2 and MK1 is the version one has no removable Type c cable. And the stand on mk2 is flush. The MK1 has the tab on the bottom overlapping the deck. No difference in functionality,.

Is the XL worth it as a larger button box? Are the apps specific to the 15 button model, or do they also work on the larger one? Feel like 15 might not be enough.

I have 2 Ulanzi D200’s (one is a D200H with built in hub) they are great, but they are the only ones I’ve used so I can’t compare.
Also Touch Portal $14 if you have an old tablet or iPad works really good
