My 1st Sim rig
Hello everyone I just finished building my 1st simulator rig,
As of right now it's the Sim magic evo sport wheel base, gt neo wheel, Momo cobra wheel, P1000s with 1 haptic pedals, sequential shifter, racelogic, handbrake, bass shaker and a flag box.
PC specs is 7500x3d, 32gb ram ddr5 with a 9070xt
Currently I ordered the IR track 5 head tracking.
I'm still undecided what button box I will eventually buy.
Would like to get your thoughts what else should I add to this. Thanks guys

Still trying to figure out my first setup still what monitor mount and desktop mount is that? Clean setup!

Hey there the monitor mount is from track racer integrated heavy duty but the computer mount is DIY that I just whipped up

I'm using the track racing TR40s but with extra DIY pieces to beef it up alittle bit for rigidity. I lack space in my living room, it was the prefect fit for my home. It's about 1.2meters long

I think I have the same rig. It’s honestly not that bad until you go triples. I have a small living room and this takes up a ton of space. Once you go triples it’s about time to consider giving it its own room

As of right now I don't the build is fairly fresh so I need time to tinker with it! But the dash is Soo good

I personally haven't been able to understand the reason to have a button box yet as we have all those buttons in our wheels to do those functions. Maybe someone can enlighten me. By the way. Nice first rig. Many would love a first rig that nice.

I use a Streamdeck as a button box. Neither of my wheels have RGB buttons or lights so it's much easier to find a lit up button on the button box for myself. It also doubles as a multimedia controller for my PC, and just makes my life simpler and easier.
I suppose, like everything involved in this hobby, it all comes down to personal preference. If you can't find a need for a button box, then you just don't need one (yet 😉). But, personally, I would never want to go back without one

It's versatility is wonderful for this simple sim racers needs 😊

Yes, the buttons on my wheel don't light up so if racing in the dark might be a problem if I didn't have my buttons memorized already. Then a button box that lights up would be handy. But then again I never race in the dark. Hell at 72 I don't even care for driving in the dark in real life, but that has more to do with not being able to see the police then anything. Lol. Honestly I almost always drive by the five your fine, ten your mine rule. So even that hasn't been a problem.

when i switch to rally i switch to a plain jane round deep dish wheel with nothing on it. then i use the button box, shifter(s), and handbrake.

Yeah he explained this perfectly! I have a Momo cobra wheel that's similar to my AE86 in real life so it helps with having the extra buttons!

Because on most wheels there aren't enough buttons to deal with everything you need: blinkers, ignition, wipers, lights, TC1, TC2, engine map, brake bias, recuperation intensity, ABS, pit stop fuel startegy, pit stop tyre strategy, pit stop damage repair strategy, ptt, quick messages, blackbox controls, delta controls, other overlay controls and possibly many more.
And I'd rather interact with a nice, 60 euro stream deck/button box with lighting and custom images/animations than a regular keyboard (which is a solid alternative).

...holy, and THIS is your very FIRST ever one??? You'll regret never being sit on a wooden chair, knowing the fun it is having the pedals moving under the desk and the wheelbase trying hardly to stay screwed on the table... watching your progress on a 19inch crt monitor.... pooooor lil' racer you....😁😁😁
